Aran Crafts Irish Soft Cable Knitted Crew Neck Unisex Sweater (100% Pure New Wool)

these are amazing sweaters. super warm, breathable, realatively lightweight, well-made, classic, reasonably priced for the quality. i have the charcoal and the ecru. the charcoal is a rich dark grey that is close to black but the slightly lighter threads make the cable knit details pop. the ecru is obviously a lighter color that i'll probably use for contrast with a darker outer layer.i don't know what else one could ask for in a wool sweater than what Aran Crafts has put together here. the sweater isn't super-bulky but it doesn't seem like any stitches were wasted. it's on the medium side of things in the thickness scale. it's versatile enough to be an outer or mid layer, and has the merino quality of temperature regulation. because it's merino, it doesn't feel too scratchy against bare skin like some other types of wool.this sweater can easily compare in quality to others costing 2 or even 3 times as much. you probably wont find a better-made merino sweater anywhere. it's thick enough to be effective in winter, but breathable enough to work in spring or fall. by itself it can handle temps in the 50s or even 40s with a long sleeve t under. if you use it as a mid layer, you can weather much colder temps, depending on your outer layer. the style is classic and soemwhat understated. not trendy, just essential.

Es el tercer saco de la marca, compré talla S y me quedo bien, mejor que los otros que compré en talla M, el tejido es mas apretado asi que se ajusta bastante bien.Soy delgado, mido 172 cm y peso 67 kg, estoy en el limite con la talla M, pero este modelo lo escogí S porque se veia en la foto como tejido ajustado y le atiné. La lana de de muy buena calidad y no pica.

This is just a classic and quality made knit sweater that will last for a very long time. I’m 5’9, 170 with a 42” chest and the medium fits perfect. I had a couple of those sweaters when I lived in England in the 70’s and they literally lasted well over 25 years and became my go to fishing layering system. This one won’t go with me fishing, well, for at least another10 years, lol. But, this really is a great long lasting sweater that you will give you your money’s worth.

I received this today. Fit (XXL) was good. It was itchy. I did not see any mention of "Merino" wool on the sweater tag. It did say "New Wool" which per Google can be a blend of wools. I'll keep it but will need to wear a long sleeve shirt under it

It stretches nicely. I was able to get the green color for a big reduction in price. it’s absolutely beautiful. My husband loves wearing it. It’s a very good quality sweater. It’s not too heavy. It’s 100%.Wool.. it’s not as warm as I thought it would be. A shirt under it is Really helpful. Not been washed yet.

My husband who is not really into clothes said this was the best Christmas present. I was kind of hoping he might share it with me. But alas not. So when we get the rest of our Christmas paid off, I'm getting one of these sweaters for me.He did hint that he was ready to clean out his closet and was hinting that another one of these sweaters would be a great Valentine gift.

Very attractive wool sweater with a great color and nice design. I'm not sure "soft" is really the right word, but it's not scratchy is comfortable to wear. Properly warm. The fit on the torso is perfect. The arms are a little shorter and snugger than expected and the cuffs are longer and tighter. The crew neck is more of a traditional crew neck rather than the over-sized opening that a lot of the pictures seem to show -- which, for me, is a positive. This is a great sweater for casual-nice wear and a stand-out at its price point.
