A must buy
We are unschooling/homeschooling 3 kids under 4 and every morning we do about the only consistent thing of our day which is at breakfast we have a habit of reading through scripture, some saying of Early Church fathers and the Saints of the day. About a month ago we added this book. Overall it is great- the left page is a story which has prompt questions and on the right side is the picture. Since we approach learning as a family, I like that the book engages my kids at their own individual level. The pictures are great for my littlest ones and the extra questions keep the elder one focused and looking for the clues in the picture and story. For example it starts the story by asking a question, tells the story, and then asks again. The kids are prompted in what to look for and then get to answer at the end. It’s a great learning tool and helps if I am not quite yet awake-which is most mornings - let’s be real. On the con side- they left quite a lot of great stories out and the focus seems more on OT ones than the New but it’s an addition to our library not a replacement. But out of around a hundred books we’ve added in the past year this is one of my favorites.

A great Bible for Toddlers
I am very happy with this children’s Bible. For reference, I have a 3 and 1 year old. I like it because it is laid out like a normal Bible (Old Testament and then New). I like that there is a picture for every page. The content on each page is simple and I like the follow up questions and prayer. I like that the passage of scripture is referenced so I can quickly read it from my Bible. I do wish there were more spiritual lessons tied in. I just add them in myself.I am very happy with this seller. I bought this book used and it is excellent condition (it looks new). Thank you for your honest business!

great
Really great kids bible. my 16m old likes the pics and my 5 year old loves the stories and questions. I like that the stories have questions built right in to the story to keep the kids engaged. ie, "Look at all the beautiful animals! Do you see the lion? Do you see the bird? etc.." Something like that. There are little prayer suggestions at the bottom of each page. Kind of like a moral to the story or something that is on a child's level that they can take away and practice applying to their own lives. It has taken our scripture time down to their level. It's great. I feel like God speaks to people in their own languages so they can understand; this is a way God can speak to children in THEIR language. Great buy. Have recommended to friends and if ours ever gets destroyed i will definitely buy again.

Childhood Memories
This children’s Bible was gifted to my brother and I and we loved it! So I wanted to gift a copy to my great nephew, his mother was so excited to see it, as she had enjoyed her own copy as a child. Makes a wonderful gift, you can’t go wrong.

A revision of an old favorite
We used this book 40+ years ago and loved it for its short stories and simple questions that introduced young minds to scripture. This book also offers the same format, but we do miss the more realistic pictures of the past. If the pictures being artistic renditions, instead of more realistic, pictures doesn’t bother you, you will be very happy with this book. We miss the realism of the past, though it is done well, and we greatly revere the author.

and 3) but I wasn't happy with any of them
I have a few other Bibles/devotionals for my kids (ages 1, 2 ,and 3) but I wasn't happy with any of them, and none of them got my children's attention *at all*. I asked friends, and this was recommended to me for very young kids. I'm so happy with it. It reads very naturally, just like the way I talk to my kids. Simple words and simple concepts, without being inaccurate or watering it down too much. The best part is that there's a few questions at the bottom of each page. My kids love the test, so to speak, to see if they paid attention. And of course kids love having their input and elaborating on what they learned. There's also a beautiful picture on every page opposite the story.

and she called me to see if I had the original for our new great grandchild. It disappeared somewhere in one of our ...
We had this original version in 1970 for our youngest daughter. When shea was less than two years old, she climber out of her crib, defied the no-touch-on-the-dresser- command, and we found her weeping on the bed with the book open to the crucifixion picture. She was deeply sodding, and asked, "Why nails, mommy? Why nails?" Today she pastors a country church and works with the homeless in her county, is police/fire chaplain, secures sleeping bags to be given away to homeless, meals, medical treatment, runs the dental van, and gains main support from the inter-church pastors prayer meeting in her town, who she works closely with. The book really touched her, and she called me to see if I had the original for our new great grandchild. It disappeared somewhere in one of our kid's stuff. Enough said? A.B Harouff

the stories were short and to the point. Came with questions to ask the child after the story was read, which helps to promote spiritual conversations and thoughtful questions from the child as well.
