Growing strong
I live in Southern California. Got this plant late summer and now in mid fall it's doing fantastic. I let it rest for 2 days then repotted and placed in partial sun during an unfortunate late-summer heat wave. The leaves that were on it all shriveled up and fell off within about a week, not sure if it was heat or dryness or stress from shipping, but we've had a little rain and it is fully recovered with thick, green and healthy looking leaves about 5-6 inches in length. No fruit yet, but I wouldn't expect it this early.

TINY
The pup arrived so tiny! I was afraid it may not survive it was so tiny. I put it in a pot, not the ground and it's slowly growing a new leaf, so it must be tough. Usually I've bought bananas a bit larger than this, it could have used another week on the mother plant, but alls well that ends well

Concern when open the box
My banana plant came in the mail today when first open the top half of the plant has a severe Bend and some of it looks either dead or starting to rot. plant has a great size but I think it was too big for the box it was in. I am not sure if this will survive.

Lovely Young and Rooting Banana Plant :)
Great plant nothing broken just a bit distressed (much better than others I've seen on here Yikes!!). Took the papers advice and am not repotting this thing for 4-7 days. The soil was moist and roots were huge and had outgrown whatever container they were in which is why the one leaf is yellowing but new growth is on the way!Threw some peat moss on top of the roots and soil to cover them as they arrived protected but exposed and I didn't want to leave the big roots to dry out! Will give it some good indoor light for the next few days and then repot for the great outdoors!!

Updated: A month of growth
They came in smaller than expected. The leaves were slightly damaged. I was worried the plant would not survive at all. One month later I witness new growth and its very happy. I only feed it with water đ§ đ.It is a somewhat slow grower but I like the idea of keeping a plant for a long time.Update (October 2022):I am overall extremely happy with my purchase. Since the last picture I have separated the three plants and replanted them in separated pots. They now have their own babies đ„°, which brings me to six banana trees.I am still trying to figure out a way to accelerate the growth of the original trees as they are not as tall as I would have liked. With that being said, definitely worth every penny!Any advice from the vendor would help a lot though. I did get that soil complement for palm trees that helped a little bit but no drastic change so far!

Didnât Last A Week
I bought it because it said it would live in zone 10. I bought a deep pot like they said, bought the correct soil and it still died. Donât believe the reviews you read.
