We had been feeding our 1 year golden retriever the Kirkland brand from Costco and noticed that she was going poop probably about 4-5 times a day. A ridiculous amount of waste, It was like it was going right through her. We switched her to the Merrick chicken and wild rice ancient grains formula and she’s only going once or twice a day now AND as a side benefit her coat is now GORGEOUS. Soooo soft and I feel like I don’t have to wash her as often either. She doesn’t feel as oily. Final conclusion: It’s a fantastic food a little expensive, but worth it for the furry member of our family. Just avoid the grain free recipes my vet has said grain free has caused a lot of problems in dogs. Hope this helps! God bless our puppies! 😊

One of my doggos has a very sensitive tum and the other is a picky eater. Both have allergies and were paw lickers. I had them on Hills Science Diet Sensitive Stomachs for about a year and I had to convince the picky eating to consider eating it and the sensitive stomach dog would barf it up or stomach acid up before or after eating. I changed them to this food very slowly and the picky eater has yet to refuse it. He asks for more in his little pitty way usually. And the other did have gi issues at first so I slowed down his transition even more. This food is more rich than they were used to so it is more filling. I found they need less of it than they did the Hills. Their coats are softer, they have more energy....which is supposedly a plus, the bigger guy has lost weight, and they have not been paw licking. I also have been noticing less allergy symptoms. Best choice I've made for my rescue pit mix babies.

We very glad with tis product (Me & over all my Dog).Have a good balance between proteins, vitamines, and reduce fat level.I need send a message to packing team, is second time the bag arrive broken. The box has no dings, it always arrives in excellent condition.I'm sorry to make this comment, once is a bad luck, but a second time is already a frequent problem.

BAD! It was only because some kibble spilled that I discovered the rigid splinters in a few pieces. They are very hard and now Im going through the bowls before serving my dogs. Can’t afford to throw it out, so now very time consuming to save. Won’t buy again

We have been feeding this type of food since our Multese joined our home ( 6,5 years) and cant be more satisfied with their consistency. Our dog had maintained its weight and Health since then and does not want any other brand ( we have tried to introduce wet food as well). Very happy with this company, thank you.

Have been buying this brand for long time.Puppies like it.The price of 4 lbs bag is a lot more expensive than the 20 lbs bag.. making it not so convenient to try another flavor.

Merrick’s “Classic healthy grains- specifically “Real Chicken +Brown Rice Recipe with Ancient Grains” has really helped our “fur baby grandson”. He is turning 3 years old and since changing to this dog food; his coat is notably shinier and his stools are now formed.
