Power Stop K1382 Front Z23 Carbon Fiber Brake Pads with Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors Kit

One of the pins that pull the pads off the rotor popped off during installation. I was able to "snap" it back in, but I am positive that it popped back off the first time I pumped the brakes (rubbing noises on that side). These pins should not be removable, and I don't have faith the the other pins won't eventually do the same. I'll be buying a replacement pair from a local auto parts store soon.The rotors are excellent though.

Rotors: Great!! So far.Brake Pads: I don't trust the spring clips. One popped off the mounting post during install (along with 3 of the washers supporting the clips (see pic and story below).I bought this rotor and pad combo to replace the front brakes on my 2008 Ford Mustang V6 that were vibrating on hard brakes (warped rotors). I first did the right side, which mounted problem free.I then proceeded to the left side. The inside pad slipped right into the caliper mount. While sliding in the outside pad (you have to angle the pad a bit past the curve in the caliper mount), I heard a "ping!" and something flew past the side of my head. I checked the pad, thinking the spring clip may have come off, but both clips were still there. I proceeded to mount the pad again and "ping!" again. Spring clips still attached. "What the..." I was thinking. On the third try one of the spring clips popped off its mounting post. I pliered the spring back onto the post, which seemed to be on tight, but it would pop off when trying to mount the pad.I then removed the inner pad to compare and noticed there is a thin washer on top of the spring clip mount that was not on the outer pad. This first two "pings" I heard were both washers flying off. Since I needed brakes for travel the next day, I ran out to a local auto parts store to buy more ceramic pads so I could complete the job (which installed without issue).When I went back to the right side to remove these pads to install the locally bought replacements, "ping!" ... another washer popped off.I love the rotors at this point. I definitely do not want to exchange these pads as I do not want the springs popping off from increased tension as the brake pads wear down. I am hoping Amazon will issue me a partial refund credit for the value of the pads alone.Update: I was planning to add a helpful photo of the defective brake pads, but I wasn't given an option to do so while making or editing this review. I'm not sure why Amazon has removed that option, but I'll check back and add it when they make photo submissions available again.Update #2: The "add a photo" option is now back. I have uploaded the picture showing the top two defective pads with 3 lost washers and 1 lost spring clip.

Los discos están muy bn pero las pastillas no cumplen con la calidad,en los resortes de el lado de cada pastilla una venía suelta y otra se cayó al instalar,nada q ver con la original de Ford revise la diferencia y El remache de ford sujete perfecto así q si las pastillas no las recomiendo los resortes son para mantener separada la pastilla de el disco mientras no estas frenando

All,I found myself needing new brakes on my 2008 V6 Mustang at 30K miles. After extensive research I decided on this brand and kit, and couldn't be happier.The install was a piece of cake, took me and a buddy 2 hours, including setup, cleanup and pad break in. The rotors and pads fit without any problems, no missing parts, clips were solid, everything just fit cleanly. The only ding I can put on this kit is that it did not include any grease, but that was easily remedied by a quick trip to my local auto parts store for a dollar packet of break grease.I followed the pad break in procedure (5 X easy stops from 40 mph to 5 mph followed by 5 x hard stops from 40mph to 5mph) and that was that.I'm writing this review after driving on these brakes for 2 weeks and am very happy I chose this kit. The stops are quick and quiet, there is no brake fade I can detect even in rainy driving conditions, and there appears to be a lot less brake dust on my rims.Overall very happy and would recommend to anyone looking for new brakes. For less then dropping off at the dealer for OEM brakes with machined rotors, I get, what I feel, are better brakes.Mac

Great product, make sure to break pads in. Put 1000 miles on now and still very good and quite braking!One of the pads was missing the spring when delivered

Easy to install, work great, look great, what else is there? oh yeah, great value for the money. Seem to be working better than stock now that they're broken in.

I installed this on my 2006 Mustang convertible with a V6. Everything fit perfectly. The kit came with decent instructions, the rotors were clearly marked, packaging was great. This kit even came with new clips for the rotors and grease. The upgrade from the stock brakes was very noticeable. I will definitely upgrade with these when the time comes to do the rear.
