Lighting
For some reason this bulb was recommended for a picture light. The bulb lists the color as yellow which alters the colors of the painting. And not being frosted the inside elements of the bulb casts bright streaks and dark lines across the painting. For a painting you just need a frosted 40w T10 white in color.

aims at the right direction
We have ours hooked up to timer which works well. Does not come with bulbs which is kinda strange but ...Purchased bulbs at hardware store. I did purchase the ones that were recommended at the bottom of the page and they were too small so sent back. This is nice and bright, aims at your picture. Looks elegant in the brushed gold and there is a roll switch on the cord to turn it on or off. Highly recommend

Need correct size bulbs.
loved the light fixture, but am having trouble finding the correct bulbs . Can Amazon tell me the correct bulbs to use. Will purchase immediately.

Great picture light
Very good quality especially for the reasonable price. Make sure you order the right bulbs as it takes medium base narrow bulbs that aren't that easy to find at retail. Neither Lowes or Home Depot had the right bulbs had to get at a speciality bulb store. You can also order them on Amazon.

Inoperable.
Foolishly bought this item TWICE. Both times one bulb would not light.Then the second bulb shorted out. Worthless.
