A Great Non-Boutique PAF
Sounds great paired with a super distortion! I installed this on an Ibanez S1520FB Prestige to get a brighter pickup than it sold with. Ticks all the PAF boxes, but this one is slightly clearer and brighter than a 36th anniversary. Splitting gets too shrill for my tastes, but that can be beefed up by just putting a resistor in the coil you don't want instead. Wouldn't recommend using this with a treble bleed.Also doesn't have an ugly logo slapped on the face of the pickup, so that's nice.

Dimarzio Pickup from the Gods
I haven't played DiMarzio pickups since the early 80's. As a Seymour Duncan fan, I usually pair my JB with an Alnico II Pro or SH-2n for the neck position. But WOW did this pick-up blow my mind. It sounds fat, thick and juicy with incredible sustain. Awesome cleans and beautiful dirty tones while maintaining clarity. Very happy with DiMarzio again.

Smokin Hot Sound That Can't Be Beat for the Price Point!
A friend gave me an old Jackson V she had laying around, and I put these in it... they sound fantastic! If memory serves me correctly, these are the same pickups that Paul Gilbert has in some of his Ibanez Signature guitars.For the price... they can't be beat... I'd recommend em to anyone that plays hard rock or metal, especially older metal like Iron Maiden, or the like.Get em, they're great!

Threw a set of these PAF Master pickups in my gothic SG and oh man........

Fantastic neck humbucker
I placed one of these pickups in my HH Stratocaster and it sounds terrific. It's round, warm, and fat, but it has a good amount of brightness too it. It's not muddy or woofy at all, it stays very tight and focused. Probably my favorite neck humbucker I've ever played!
