Garlic Presses

I researched the top 2025 garlic presses and ended up buying the Joseph, Joseph garlic rocker. They say with garlic presses, the finer the garlic, the more delicate the flavor. I like the rocker garlic press versus the press you have to squeeze mostly because it’s easier to cleanup when you’re done, the durability of the product versus the one you squeeze which overtime could break, and they can be bulky. With the rocker, you can roll over it several times to get that finer delicate flavor.

Waaaay better than any hinged press

It cuts up the garlic into sorta big chunks, bigger than I’d prefer, but you can rock it over the results and get them smaller. And with that, honestly, it’s the best garlic press you can get. I do wish there was some kind of cleaning tool that came with it to get the stuck garlic out, but if you take it over the garbage disposal and blow (sounds dumb I know), it isn’t too bad.

It’s ok

I’m only giving 4 stars because I would have liked it much better if it mince the garlic finer.

Great purchase!

This works GREAT. ALSO, the quality and sturdiness depicted in the photo is exactly how it is. This is a lifetime gadget.

great love it

I've had this for awhile and still use it. it's durable & great. the best part is that it's stainless steel so when you're cleaning it, it also gets rid of the garlic smell from your fingers.

Fun to use but also annoying

I really wanted to like this garlic rocker. It's actually quite fun to use and press garlic with BUT.....once you press the garlic, you end up with garlic bits stuck in the holes. If you're just looking to do one or two cloves of garlic then you need to use something to poke the stuck bits out of the holes. Once you press the garlic, you also need to use a separate tool like a spoon to scrape the garlic off the grooves to dislodge it. This is rather annoying to have to press, set tool down, pick up spoon, scrape, put spoon down, repeat. The thickness of the metal is how much garlic will remain stuck, until you press another garlic to force the prior bits to push through them repeat. The holes are also not all consistent in size so toward the edge the holes are smaller. If you're clearing stuck bits then you need a poking tool that fits the smallest hole.Pro: compact, light and fun to use.Con: garlic get stuck and separate tool needed to remove pressed garlic, and another tool needed to dislodge stuck garlic pieces in the wholes. Not convinent if doing few cloves.Improvement:Needs to have a separate tool that comes with this for poking out all the stuck pieces in the wholes after you press some garlic. Maybe two identically shaped metal with silicone/magnetic at the handle end that stores together when not in use, and one with holes the other with extrusion that can be used to dislodge the stuck bits. The second part can also be used to scrape off the pressed garlic.I bought another garlic press brand called Gourmet something, that requires a bit more hand power to press but has far fewer moving parts to worry about breaking. Two stainless steel parts and the both handles comes apart easily for cleaning where one handle can also be used to scrape off pressed garlic as well as dislodging the remains. More convinent so to speak, but still liked this rocking style press..

Surprisingly really like it!

I feel compelled to write a review because I initially thought about returning the garlic rocker when I experienced the things other reviewers mentioned: garlic pieces being larger than with a standard press, some garlic left underneath unminced, garlic getting stuck in the holes. As a product designer myself, I even considered how I'd redesign it to be better. All that said and after additional use, I changed my mind! They made some very thoughtful choices in designing this product and if you don't think of it as a direct replacement for your run-of-the-mill garlic press, it's an awesome product. Yes, the resulting pieces are bigger than with a garlic press BUT they're also not crushed/juiced and I didn't find myself needing them to be smaller to cooked with. If you move any remaining garlic pieces around under the rocker and rock some more, it fully minces them. Nothing left over. It's sharp enough to do that (but not to cut yourself) which I've never found to be true with a hand press. I also realized running a spoon quickly over the top and a few taps gets most of the garlic out. Any remaining can be popped out with a fork. With hand presses, there's always garlic left over. Cleaning it is a snap given the one-piece design.Long story short, I think this is a great product. Encourage you all to defer judgement and use it for a while. It's becoming a kitchen tool I reach for often, and that's saying a lot.

Crushes Garlic

It’s a chunk of metal for crushing garlic. The metal is good quality. The shape is appropriate for using it to crush things. So, nice item.
