Hopkins 46155 Taillight Converter 4 Flat Universal Kit (Independent Bulb Turn Signals)

I installed on my 2014 Tacoma pickup without any hassle. There is plenty of room behind the left rear light assembly to mount the unit and the extra-long wire for the right side turn signal was just right length. The crimp-on connectors work fine to give a good solid connection to existing lamp wires without having to cut any wires. You will need to find an existing screw to attach the ground wire to. I didn't see a convenient one so I drilled a small hole in the sheet metal under the truck and installed the included sheet metal screw to attach the ground wire. They include a couple of small cable ties to keep wires in place but I used several more of my own stock to give a neater professional installed look. All the functions of my boat trailer work great.

This kit worked to install a new 4 pin on my Toyota truck for towing and I am very satisfied with it. Only 4 stars because the included test light did not work, I had to get another test light to complete the installation.

I ordered this kit to replace adapter that was working. This was so easy to install and had everything included to do the job. Worked great after installation.

Had an issue with converter called manufacture spoke with Duke. We went over install and checked what was needed by him. He backed up their product 100%. I would definitely buy their products again.

This is, plain and simple, a great trailer wiring set.If you are like me, you are considering this set as well as the one "designed" for your car that costs more than twice as much for no reason at all.I am here to say, do not be afraid of this kit! You do not need to be an electrician to install this. The wires are all labeled with exactly where they need to go and the kit even includes a pin tester to make sure you have the correct wires on your car. There are instructions as well as connectors that prevent the need to even use a wire strippers.The product descriptions always make everything sound easy as they naturally want to sell their product, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this all was in fact easy and exactly as they described. Save some money over the product "designed" for your car with the fancy "T" connector and bet on this product.

I wired this into my 2000 Honda Accord and double and triple checked all of the wiring and it did not work properly. Turning my left signal on would cause the taillights to flash on my car and it would make both tail lights flash on the trailer. Turning the hazards on would cause the left signal to flash on the trailer. Turning the left signal on would also cause my cruise control to cancel out when it was turned on. I don’t know if I was sent a faulty converter but I do know it did not work properly for my car. I instead bought a converter from the same company that plugs directly into my car via an OEM plug on the drivers side behind the carpet. That works flawlessly.

Hello!, First time doing a wire harness for a trailer and since they no longer make the plug and play version for my jeep this was the next best thing!, Was able to tap right into the existing brake light harness and everything works great!, The voltage tester that came with the kit is a must and helped breeze along the process and helped me identify what wire was for what light.
