Janlynn14 Count Antique Sewing Room Cross Stitch Kit, 12 by 12-Inch

I am a long-time cross stitching fanatic. I usually work from charts and purchase my threads at a local needlework shop. I wanted something quick and fun and ordered this Janlynn kit to hang in my sewing room. The Aida cloth is OK; the threads, however, are not even close to DMC quality. The strands are thinner and knot easily, must to my frustration. Even the over-sized stitching chart is printed on cheap paper. I can see that it will tear easily, especially when refolded numerous times.

The pattern calls for 2 strands .... apparent background (white) see-thru. Noticed problem after already halfway thru, not sufficient thread left to increase strands .. disappointed outcome. Love the subject of the kit, but pattern and thread provided should be for 3 strands.

Print was easy to follow. I changed the colours. Made a beautiful gift.

I love this and look forward to starting it. As a life-long sewer, I will proudly display this finished cross stitch in my sewing room.

The threads are not numbered correctly. You're left guessing which color to use and where.

Was excited to this kit but was disappointed that there was no aida cloth . floss and needle. Just instruction chart.
