Very Well-Constructed Sturdy Candelabra
This lovely candelabra works great in front of a fire screen at the hearth level of a fireplace. It looks equally stunning placed above on the mantel top in front of a mirror . If you think your fireplace looks sad or dead without a fire in it, then this is the perfect solution to that problem. I used the smaller 3 IN Dia. pillar candles but it would hold the lager 4 " one too. It would also look good on a Buffet or Console entry table. Very versatile Holiday piece or year around accessory.

Great substitute for a fire!
I was sitting indoors during a torrential downpour -- after four days of solid rain -- staring at my huge, empty fireplace. I haven't burned wood in there for several years because doing so pollutes the air both outdoors and indoors. Wood-burning pollution is an issue where I live. What to do, to warm up that black hole? Look up "fireplace candelabra" on Amazon! Done and done. I liked this set so much bought two, for my two unused fireplaces. I am very happy with my purchase. The quality is good for the price, and the design is clean and modern (no silly curls or flourishes, thankfully). Pay attention to the height of this item, as the apex of th back row is pretty tall once you out a candle on it. I used 6x3 Bolsius candles in my larger fireplace with hearth, and 4X2 candles in the hearthless fireplace (raised firebox). They look lovely

Looks so good!
We needed something to put in our fireplace because we live in Florida and don’t really have fires. Plus fires are so messy and the cat would track soot everywhere. It holds the candles steady because of the little spikes on the holders. If you want to use flameless candles, you’d have to remove the spikes.Overall this candle holder fits the space perfectly and looks so good!!PS sorry if my photos are upside down.... not sure what’s happening in the upload.

Very nice
Nice for a wider design for a fireplace. Only 20in one for a good price but it does have spikes to hold wax candles. I took tin snips and cut them off.

Electric candles possible
Wanted a candelabra for electric candles, wanted one with 9 spaces so I only had to buy 3 sets of 3 candles. But this one had spikes. I took the risk that I could snap off the spikes and bought this.Removing the spikes was easy. I used lineman's pliers and just waggled the spike back and forth rapidly for maybe 20 or 30 seconds per spike until the metal fatigued and then easily snapped them off. Voila -- no more spikes. As it happens, the candles I bought have a small recess underneath (for the on-off switch and battery access -- of course, has to be there) which easily accomodates the tiny stump left of the spike. (Though, in honesty, I think the curved cups on this candelabra matched to size of pillar candle wind up with the candles resting above the bottom anyway.)All in all, very pleased. Looks fine. Seems well constructed -- with spikes just thin enough to be easily removed.

Candelabra looks great in my fireplace
The candelabra fit perfect in my fireplace. The set of 3x4 electronic candles I purchased were the perfect size. We also tried burning tea lights to see how burning candles looked. They looked romantic while burning, but would not be decorative by day. The candelabra is not particularly sturdy, but that’s ok because it will sit in my fireplace. It also looked nice sitting in front of the mirror on the mantle, but it’s going IN the fireplace. A great alternative to a gas or electric insert and still allows us to burn wood in the fireplace when we want.

Love it!
We just bought our new house and it had this beautiful, albeit inoperable, fireplace. I knew I wanted to make it decorative with candles, but thought I would end up spending a lot of time and money buying candles of different heights and widths to get the look I wanted. I happened across this candelabra and knew I wanted to give this a try. I picked up a few 3-packs of candles from Kirkland's and put everything together right when the candelabra got it. I love it!! It looks great, and was reasonably priced! This seems like it will hold up for many years to come!

Great for my realistic candles!
I wanted a candle holder for the front of my fireplace and this one is great! I have a collection of artificial candles that have timer and they look amazing on this holder. It is designed for real candles so the top of the candle dish does have a small spike to anchor a wax candle, but a Dremel took those right off. Pottery Barn has a similar holder for triple the price. This is definitely a great value for the money!
