Giro Fixture MIPS Mountain Bike Helmet for Men, Women, Kids, and Adults

As a first-time cyclist, I have been very satisfied with the Giro Fixture MIPS Adult Mountain Cycling Helmet. This helmet was one of my first buys in what has become a developing cycling journey, and I must say, it does everything I need it to.One of the first things that caught my attention is the simple yet stylish design of the helmet. It looks sleek and professional, instantly making me feel like a true cyclist. I appreciate the clean lines and the matte finish, giving it a modern and trendy appearance.Fit and comfort are crucial for a positive cycling experience, and this helmet delivers on both fronts. The Roc Loc Sport system makes it incredibly easy to adjust the helmet to fit my head perfectly. As a first-time cyclist, I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of fit, but the Roc Loc Sport system simplified the process and ensured a secure and comfortable fit every time.I also noticed that my head was never getting hot during my longer rides. Overall, the vents on the helmet allow for excellent airflow, keeping my head cool and preventing overheating. This feature has been particularly beneficial during my beginner rides, as it helps me stay focused and enjoy my time on the bike.The visor is a thoughtful addition to the helmet, shielding my eyes from the sun's glare. It's adjustable, allowing me to position it according to my preferences and the riding conditions. The review title was my first impression on putting it on my head. I have a larger than usual head so helmets have been a challenge. My skull is oblong at about 65 cm so normal sized helmets feel like putting a tea cup on a bowling ball. That may be an exaggeration in reality however that is what it feels like. The Giro Fixture MIPS XL is a perfect fit to the toric shape of my skull. Very nicely made with good adjustments. Excellent rear head protection... great for those goons who like to throw things at bikers from moving cars. I really like the visor. Even on my racing bike I like visors to keep the sun from creeping over your sun glasses and for night rides being able to tip your head forward slightly for cars that drive at you with only high beams. My only unfulfilled helmet wish was to have screen over the vent holes to keep gnats and wasps out of your helmet. It would seem that a stainless steel screen mesh molded into the foam would greatly increase impact structural integrity without affecting compressive impact energy absorption. Well at least I have a new nice fitting helmet again. Now I can retire my old Giro helmet I had for twenty years. I know that is too long for established longevity guidelines, however a new helmet that didn't fit correctly was far more dangerous. One last thought.. Helmet manufacturers state to keep your helmet out of high temperatures. Like if you stored it in a car on a hot summer day, They don't however state any cold temperature limitation. My first bike helmet in the 1980's developed spider web cracks in the outer shell after just one really cold over winter storage in the garage. I will be bringing this helmet inside come November.

Unlike most "universal fit" helmets, this one actually comes in 2 sizes. I measured my noggin just to be sure, and turns out I needed the bigger one. It fits really well. In fact, I did not have to do anything more than a minor adjustment to the chinstrap. The ratcheting wheel on the back would be easier to access if it was a little bit lower, but it snugs up the helmet nicely. I started using one of those skullcap helmet liners/sweat control things and it fits even better. Very comfortable. I do not think about it when I am writing.

This helmet exceeds my expectations! It is comfortable, and has an adjustable ratchet band to ensure perfect fit. It is robust, and I feel comfortable that if I ever needed to protect my head from an impact, that it will do the job! It’s lightweight and comfortable, I’m happy with this product!

I bought this as a gift for my husband and had to be sneaky. Went and found one of his hats and went off that measurement which of course was the largest of size so I decided to get the larger helmet and it tightens down nicely. The measurements they provide are accurate and the helmet itself is great quality.

Bought this to replace my well worn GIRO helmet and was not disappointed. So glad I stuck with the brand. Comfortable for a 7 hour day in Kansas, and the venting couldn't be much better for the 95 degree weather during the Unbound Gravel race.

It's really a great helmet. Very comfortable, light, and breathable. I purchased black, but after two months of use (once a week for an hour or two) the plastic shell has started to scratch/etch very easily. I've never dropped the helmet, but do, on occasion, place it inside of my backpack. Still, there's nothing in the backpack sharp enough to cause these scratches/etching. It's really the only flaw to this helmet.

Just buy the helmet if you like it. Pretty comfy and hopefully I never have to test it's durability in a fall.

Es un buen producto para protección sobre todo por el “mips”

I like the fit, not too heavy either. The color is easily seen but not bright. Overall it's just right.
