Great Product - Pain in the you know what job
Application for 2005 suburban Z71 with JL4 from midwest rust belt. Look at the sticker in your glove box, the codes are alphabetical. If you have JL4 listed you need this kit as it has the extra brake controller lines. The lines are very good quality - they should have used these to start with. The steel is vinyl coated and very rigid - they are also copper lined on the insides. It is a very tedious and messy rust in your face job. I would only attempt this if you have at least 6 jack stands 4 to lift the vehicle and 2 to hold up the body on one side. If you google this “Pre-Formed and Pre-Flared Hydraulic Brake Pipe Kits - ACDelco pdf” for step by step installation instructions and the picture detailing the ABS module connections. It is absolutely necessary to tilt the body off the frame to make this easier - it will give you more room to work with and the body mount bushings will be out of your way to thread the lines through. I was nervous about tilting the body off the frame but it wasn't that big a deal. When removing the body mount bolts, do not use an impact. 1st tighten the bolts a quarter turn then back them off all 6 came out fine. You will need to power bleed the brakes from the master cylinder and also make sure you pb blaster all connections. I started the week before and coated the bleeder screws to see if I could brake them loose to know if I would need new calipers as well. A local shop quoted me $600 to install this kit. looking back - I think it was worth it to do it myself only because I had all the tools and proper equipment from previous jobs. I would say if you have never done something like this I would plan on about 20 - 24 hours total taking your time with running into problems like getting spare tire off, etc(gm instructions say 6 hours - good luck on that). I had an extra car so there was no pressure to get it done. Running lines in order is important. I ran both rear lines together, then right front, left front, followed by master cylinder lines to ABS. There are no rear differential lines in this kit, but in my case, and I live in rust belt, the rear end lines were perfect and did not need replacing so they must have used better material. I replaced all of the rubber lines as well because I plan on driving till it falls apart.

Better then factory lines
Easy as pie . My brake lines rusted out sprung a leak as pulling into my parking lot, i replaced brake lines on my older plow truck and have all tools required, when i found this set at a price under what it would cost to buy stainless steel brake line and go thru the hastle of making them as i did on my last truck i opted to try this eom replacment and am glad i did. Take out the old rusty pipes that falling apart slip these eom babbies in and new again. The biggest part of the job is taking everything apart to get to all the brake line holders , wheel wells and what not to slip in the new brake pipe. One thing is the bends are not exact and lengths are a little off, so it does need some finessing, nothing that not easily fixable. Replacing the 2 rubber pipes from the rear axle to the frame was a rusted pain and doing all this in parking lot in front of house not jacked up. In the end well worth it, fast shipping and brand new eom brake lines, with this set they bypassed the braided steel lines from the master cylinder to a direct hard line connection. this gives a firmer brake pedal , This line is better then the factory lines these have rust protected and looks like copper inside. Yet are firm, possibly a ply layer design. Much firmer then whats avalible at the local auto chain store. I think they will now last a long time.2003 yukon xl , just make time to take everything apart thats needed and take your time, even if you think it wont go in with out bending, it will, it all slips in easlily if you take your time and work it . make sure the corect lines go to the correct places. The longest part is taking eveything apart to get to the old brake lines and putting it back after the new lines are installed.Well worth the effort.

Does not include the two rear axle crossover lines for vehicles with a tee splitter in the rear end
Thought this kit would give me a full set of lines to replace all the old salt corroded lines. Picture shows 9 pipes and that seemed correct other than the lengths in the picture didn't totally add up. When the kit came in and I laid everything out i saw I had two extra lines (one long one and one short one) and nothing for the rear axle crossover pipe. Found a copy of GM's TSB 13-05-22-001A. Yep, the kit does not include those two lines. Cut and paste from the TSB below:"These kits include all the pre-formed and pre-flared brake pipes needed when replacing the entire brake pipe assembly, except the rear axle crossover pipe. If the rear axle crossover pipe requires replacement, refer to the appropriate parts catalog for ordering and the Brake Pipe Replacement procedure in SI for installation instructions."My application was a: 2005 Suburban 1500 Z71 model K15906, with JH2 (7200LBh Pwr Brakes). Look in your glove box to see the list installed options on your vehicle. Those two extra lines are maybe for a vehicle with Active Brake Control(JL4)?Install was not all that easy. Yes they are preformed but you have to do a lot of bending of the right front line to snake it in. Be very careful not to cross thread the lines into the ABS unit as it's made out of soft aluminum. I caught myself doing so on the last line in. Luckily I caught it before it was too late. Those run $352 to replace (ouch). And doing thread repair on one of these would not be easy as you can't run a tap through it. Also, if like me here in the road salt zone, bleeder valves were seized.GM should recall vehicles from the areas of the country that use road salt. Very dangerous having a brake line burst. They should also include the two rear axle crossover lines as that is where my line burst.
