So far so good.

Seems to work well so far. Time will tell.

This stuff is great, with a few caveats

This tape works great, but follow directions and warnings closely. Specifically, surface must be clean, dry, and above minimum working temps. If it doesn’t adhere well on initial contact it tends to stick to itself, then all bets are off. You end up with one big clump that can’t be undone. That said, if used properly it bonds well. Water tight, secure, and clean. I have patched holes under the waterline (purposely cut for pass through pipes that I later removed) in my EPDM pond liner that have lasted for several years. I have also had issues trying to seal a waterfall extension due to scale buildup on an old liner section.

Only solution I could find to adhere epdm to pvc

Spec said it bonded with both epdm and pvc pond liners and I need to bond those two types. It worked when all of the glues I tried did not. It takes a little practice to use but actually easier than a glue I think. Only issue I have is that some of my fish died after a few days in the repaired pond. Not sure what to attribute that to since both the epdm and this tape claim to be fish safe. Took pains in reintroducing the fish as well so that mystery is unsolved.

Does not work

Well, if you wanted dead fish, look no further. I think the only way to successfully get this seam to stick and create a waterproof seal is to use a steam roller when the ambient temperature is near the melting point of lead. I had read good reviews about this product, so set about installing new pond. Step 1. Moved Koi to holding pond. Step 2. Tore down old pond. Step 3. Built new pond. Step 4. Created new large liner with a medium and small liner using this seam tape to create large liner that was leak proof. Step 5. Started to fill pond. Step 6. Added Koi to new pond. Step 7. Watched as pond leaked from about 13 locations. Step 8. Hoped that it wasn't actual leak but just leftover water. Step 9. Moved Koi back to holding pond Step 10. Emptied pond. Step 11. Patched locations of leaks with more seam tape. Step 12 Started to fill pond. Step 13. Sat back in amazement as it still leaked. Step 14. Kept koi in holding pond to reduce stress. Step 15. Bought 2 more liners and some more tape thinking I had surely just missed a step or messed up. Step 16. Used Seam tape to attach new liner to old liners, and new to new, therefore creating multiple seams with no breaks, virtually assuring a perfect leak proof seam. Step 17. Filled pond with water and added Koi as there was no way this would leak and we were seeing some signs of suffering from the Koi. Step 18. More leaks, like maybe 1 less than before. Step 19. Stand back in horror as we lost each koi 1 by 1. Step 19. We tried everything to rejuvenate and keep them alive. Step 19. Decide not to write review for 3 months as I still dread that day of losing all my koi. Step 20. Plan new pond with commercially created exact fit liner for new pond. Please, do yourself a favor and just spend the extra money and buy the perfect liner so you don't end up like me.
