Great solution after OEM pins fell out

2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT RWD2 of my pins had fallen so I bought this set to replace them. I didn’t have channel locks handy but did have a tongue and groove style hammer. It was a little more tedious to make sure the teeth were centered on the pin but it worked just fine. In my case, I was also replacing the camber plates and upper control arm bolt so I used the upper control arm nut on the back side of the pin and pressed it through that. Might be a slightly safer option than using a socket.Unlike what others said, I wasn’t able to hit or press the other pins out. I used an 8lb sledge hammer and they still wouldn’t budge. I tried pressing them out with pliers and a nut on the backside and couldn’t. Ended up just replacing the ones that had fallen out and will wait to replace all of them for a future project. I’m thinking I’ll need to drill/cut them out.

09 GMC Sierra .. factory pins fell out while removing UCA’s

I was replacing upper control arms on a 2009 GMC Sierra and the factory guide pins fell out, ordered these and with some encouraging by a air hammer.. they went into place and haven’t moved since. Aligned it after and had no problems.

Poor fit, be prepared to weld

Of the 3 pins I used, they all went in very easily, too easily. One popped out completely once I started to rotate the cam for alignment. There is not enough interference between the pin and the hole, just too sloppy. Maybe all 3 of the holes on my truck are so damaged that these pins won't work? Not sure but ended up tack welding them in place and now they seem to work fine.

Works perfectly

Used on a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. Replaced my entire front suspension and a bunch of these little things fell out. As others have recommend I used a vice grip and was able to get these to pop in.I tried using a regular vice grip to get these in but couldn't. I ended up buying a Milwaukee 10" vice grip that had a hole at the end of the threads so I could slowly tighten it down more. I didn't need the additional through hole on the end as I got a few in without it but it sure made it easier to use a screwdriver at the end to tight it down more.

2001 Silverado 1500 HD.

They're perfect and snap into place securly. Do yourself a favor and install them using a set of channel locks with a socket like the directions tell you. While squeezing just wiggle it a little and they pop right in.

Pretty pricey for a few little pins but when you ...

Don't try to hammer them in - squeeze them in with a pair of vice grips and a spacer tube on the back side to let the pin come through. Pretty pricey for a few little pins but when you need them you don't have much choice. Worked fine.

Superior Than Specialty Products

These have splines that go all the way to the cap, which is a MUST for them to seat solid. The Specialty Products ones (which you'll find on Amazon for less money) don't and therefore, once popped in, shift around. Get these.

They fit the 2018s!

Used these on a 2018 Silverado 1500 without too much issue. They're kind of pain to press in but I had never done it before. I'm sure if I knew what I was doing it woudn't be an issue. They're definitely the right size.Dealer said the only way I could get the OEM replacements for my 2018 was to order a new frame haha!
