How big are the magnets? would my 2 year old be OK handling them?

These are much larger than I anticipated and my 2 1/2 yr old loves them! I would think your 2 yr old would be fine. The paint cans are approx 9 1/2" x 7". Hope that helps.

What size is the white board that is shown in the stock photo?
