I plan to use this as a curtain for my soba’s closet so I can’t speak on the water resistant e of it. Having ordered shower curtains from multiple places on amazon though I could tell right away when I opened it, the fabric has a nice weight to it! Not paper thin like most of the curtains I’ve ordered. It has a subtle almost waffle like weave to the fabric. I’m pleased!
