I couldn't get it under the vinyl except for the spot where two pieces of vinyl came together and there is a little slot. I couldn't even put it in there and slide it. Luckily for me, that spot is only about an inch from being centered where I wanted it. It is still holding my star up - even on windy days.

We have bought 2 of these; one for a 3’ barn star & one for a decorative monogram letter. Both have stayed in place with just the one hook, haven’t rusted or damaged the siding. My only complaint is that they are pretty difficult to get installed properly. They don’t just go right in, but maybe that has more to do with the siding than the hook.

These stay in place even in high winds. LOVE THEM

I didn’t realize it was only one piece when I ordered. Bit pricey for one.

Had to make some alterations in order for it to fit under our siding but ultimately we got it to work. Holds a 32" barn star with ease.
