These racks are the perfect size to fit into a kettle when I need to keep the contents off the bottom, like an improvised canner set up. But they are also great for cooling cake pans. They are very sturdy and a great deal.

I have been searching for the perfect rack to fit my 6-quart air fryer. I know this is a cooling rack but as long as it is metal, it will work just fine.

This seemed like a throwaway cheezewhiz add on that might rust out over time, but it actually has worked out quite well for me.I use it to set a bowl in my steamer to cook vegetables and fish. It works quite well for that purpose.I hand wash and dry it immediately after cooking, and have seen no signs of any kind of rust or degeneration at the weld points.Be aware that your mileage may vary, as a number of people have pointed out that the item represented in the listing may not be the item you receive as suppliers to Amazon seem to vary over the year.Also, this isn't chrome or stainless steel. The magnet test shows it to be just the current stainless steel-like substitute used in a lot of products coming out of China...but that is OK if you know the difference. Wash it upon receipt, don't put food directly on it, keep it clean and dry, and yay! You've got another useful kitchen item.For under $4 as an Amazon add-on...I found it well worth adding it to a purchase.

I got this for a kind of unconventional purpose. I recently started using plastic ice sticks opposed to ice for my drinks and got a mini fridge with the small little "freezer" in it for them. I originally had some aluminum foil in it so I could take it from drink to freezer and vice versa, but if it wasn't 100% dry, it'd end up freezing to the foil. Got this to slide into that little compartment and keep them elevated and it's working just as I had planned!Seems pretty decently built and of quality for the price as well.

I’ve ordered other goods by HIC and have been pleased with them. I thought this time would be no different. I was right, and I was wrong.I ordered 2 of the 9 1/4” round cooling racks.1 was fine and up to the manufacturers standards.The other one, looks like it didn’t quite get ‘chromed’ properly. It will start to rust in no time, no matter how well I wash and dry it.Not worth the price to send it backI am disappointed in the item. Makes me leary about ordering from this manufacturer again.*** UPDATE *** I had the defective rack replaced. I have received the replacement rack and it is perfect. This is the standard I expect with this company. Hopefully the defective rack I received was just a one-off from a bad batch. I would again order from this company.

I am 80 and doing small batch canning now. I use this rack in the bottom of a stainless steel pot that is smaller than the ordinary canning pot. It fits perfectly. The customary blue enamel pot was too heavy for me to use.

I use this for shake and bake inside a 10 inch pizza pan. Èasy to handle and fits 9 piece cut frying chicken. And tater tots, and heating pizza, and baking potatoes, and etc. Round pans are easier to handle than rectangles. The rack just a necessary part of the process and this is a great rack!
