Tetra Water Cleaner Gravel Siphon for Aquariums, Easily Clean Freshwater Aquariums

Very happy that it moves old fish water very quickly. Can drain a gallon in about 1 minute or less. Must use with a drain bucket of some sort. Obviously you can drain as much as you need to. Easy to clean and the hose is plenty long. There is also a built in screen that prevents anything but water from being sucked up. Worth the price!

Suction is good, easy to use, the speed of the suction is not too fast or slow and it cleared up all the waste. Worth the money in my opinion.

The media could not be loaded. I couldn’t get a good video/angle of me doing a tank clean, where you could actually see the pump doing its job. I also had my 2 year old standing next to me so I couldn’t really hold my phone BUT- it definitely does its job, and quick! It drained the water of my tank really fast. It’s a great gravel cleaner too, but you’ll easily drain the tank so just prepare for a water change. This pump is strong & was super easy to figure out, all you have to do is squeeze the blue thing repeatedly. Awesome, good quality pump!Only thing is, the clip that attaches to the bucket is pretty loose on mine. It comes off easily & isn’t tight around the tube part either, so just be careful not to accidentally pull it out and spill water on your floors! I have a 5.5 gal, see photos for size reference.

It’s a pretty simple set up but works fine. The priming bulb worked great and the screen in the pickup tube is a nice touch. Didn’t leak at all seems durable for the price, and made cleaning the tank easy. A few things I cleaned my 10 with it and it’s perfect for that or maybe a 20 long. Other than that the pickup tube is short so on my 29 I had to get wet and the discharge hose would not reach the floor. So I know the label says up to 50. It would work yes but I’d get something with a bigger pickup tube and longer discharge hose for anything over a 20g.

This is an awesome tool! I’ve used it twice now to partially change the water in my 2.5 gallon betta tank. It does a very good job, without much disruption to the fish environment. The vacuum action easily removes the fish excrement and debris without sucking up the gravel. It has made my life a lot easier! Five stars all the way!

Its a great product. The higher te tank is the harder/faster it flows.

This is a nice siphon, and would work great on a small tank in the ten gallon range. The intake tube is maybe 5 inches long, so it is much too short to use on a larger tank without putting your hands far into the tank. This is advertised for tanks up to 55 gallons. Technically it works on bigger tanks, but would be a lot better with the correct length intake. The hose is pretty short as well. Not recommended for anything larger than ten gallons, fine for small tanks.
