Well worth the money!
This is an excellent kit. You will probably have to get some extra hardware; I had to and I fully expected it. I used these to mount bags on my 2008 Night Rod Special. I previously used Harley-Davidson's saddle bag mounting rack for V-Rods and H-D V-Rod saddlebags. I did re-use part of that kit to mount these detachable racks, so if you have a V-Rod do keep that in mind. I like these much better - they let me get rid of the ugly "bumper" that my old bags mounted to and it allows me to hang the bags a couple inches lower after I put on a new 2:1 exhaust. They do stand the bags off the bike quite a bit (around 2 inches), but I don't mind. This kit is a great value at this price point compared to similar products. I included a couple photos; the first one is the old setup, second is the new setup and the last is the mounting studs.

Locking lever fell off after THREE rides!
Initially, I was pleased. Cool idea for saddlebag mounting. At the bottom of each KEY LOCK, there is a Metal Strip that turns with the lock and is supposed to hold the bracket to the mounting pegs. The Screw holding that metal strip was TOO SHORT and the washer was the WRONG SIZE (too big). 3 rides later the Screw fell out and one of the bags is no longer secure.I wrote the seller trying to get a REPLACEMENT screw/Metal Strip. They said they "do not sell parts" but I could buy an ENTIRE new bracket set and they'd give me a $10 discount for my "trouble." RIDICULOUS.What a waste of TIME and MONEY. Pi$$ poor customer service...

Arrived with chipped paint in thin, ripped cardboard box
Very Sturdy, heavy gauge steel. Item arrived in thin cardboard box not suitable for shipping heavy steel. All outside corners had chipped paint. Tried to give seller an opportunity to replace the product and they initially accepted and an order was placed for my replacement. A few days later the replacement order has vanished. Very disappointed that my replacement order has been cancelled and I wasn't even notified. Good sturdy product other than the chipped paint.

Robust and versatile, however the cam lock is awful.
The media could not be loaded. The brackets are heavy gauge steel and the kit includes plenty of hardware, making the bracket versatile and tough. The brackets all have some kind of really tough finish - beyond just regular bbq paint. The studs and spacers appear to be hard-chromed and even the washers and included bolts are shiny. Shimming with spacers and washers is likely a necessity on any bike, so be prepared to spend some time babying it to get a perfect fit. The only real problem with the kit is that there is so much play within the cam locks themselves and between the cam locks and the brackets that the mechanism doesn’t lock well. I would absolutely not rely on this to secure valuables without replacing the lock. It also doesn’t strike me as reliable for any overnight trips where the panniers may need to be removed (at least until the locks are replaced) because I’d be afraid of not being able to get them to stay locked on while away from home and without a hood set of tools. This required some intermediate/advanced installation skills to get it working well on a 2014 Triumph Speedmaster, but no fabrication was necessary and all hardware needed was included. Getting the mounting studs and brackets aligned, assembled, and working properly was very easy and only took about an hour. Determining which orientation to use the studs and which combination of washers and spacers was needed to get them aligned was pretty fast and easy, and getting the brackets aligned was just a matter of fastening them loosely, fitting them to the studs, and proceeding to tighten them down. The really tricky part was in removing and reinstalling the cam lock so it would at least latch well enough to handle speed bumps. If the product developer reads this, here’s what you need to hear to keep customers from returning these: This is already a great value product, but upgrading the locks would make it perfect and it would probably be worth a little more. Honestly, if you were to include decent locks in the build instead of whatever these are, you would have something just about perfect for the experienced wrencher. If you wanted to cater towards the more novice and less experienced folks out there, consider also writing up some generic instructions on achieving good fitment. This is ALMOST there.

Will fit a goldwing if you MAKE IT FIT.
Sturdy, easy to install, will fit most bikes or you can make it fit with extra work. In my case having 2 mounting holes that are not aligned was not a challenge when you measure twice and improvise.M8 bolts were not long enough but why should that stop the buyer. Hardware stores exist and loose bolts section are great for getting the right fasteners.

Classic styling at a reasonable price.
Just mounted on Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic (see pics). Very happy with how this turned out. Big improvement from throw over strap. Need to switch locking sections out of the box. Designed for hard bags but can be used for soft bags. I bought 4 longer bolts and locking nuts so they extended through the soft bag for extra support. Had to drill 3 holes in bag for each bracket. Drill your first hole for the locking bracket, then arrange other brackets, before you mark/drill additional holes in bags. 2nd bag was a breeze once I figured that out. Looks awesome. Half the price of other mounts!!!

Loved them until it broke
The lock mechanism broke while on a ride and the whole saddle bag came off and slid down the highway. Luckily, nobody was injured and the bag didn't get ran over so I got to recover everything in the bag. The mounts were scratched up and ground down pretty bad and I'm afraid it might have affected the strength of the metal. The bag itself is pretty gouged and scratched to the point I'm not sure if it can be covered up. The lid cover also came off and disappeared. This happened in the last 15 miles of a 1,000 mile trip, we all got very lucky that this didn't happen on the highway or in the mountains.

Great seller and great product
The detachable mounting brackets work just like they are supposed to. They were super easy to install, although I added a custom piece to move them to my desired location. There was a small hiccup with the bracket but the seller was super easy and fast to communicate with and they provided options to resolve my issue !! I’d highly recommend this seller again.
