South Shore9066256 Versa Weathered Oak Full/Queen Headboard

I just finished assembling this flimsy head board. I struggled with the microscopic images and virtually now written instruction. Took about 45 minutes and I am VERY handy. I did however manage to get the pegs and fasteners where they belong but, when I attempted to attach to my STANDARD common full size everyday bed frame (even comes with slotted holes to move left or right to accommodate sloppiness but the pre drilled holes on the head board were still too far apart. During the "dry fitting" to mark out where I would have to drill new holes, the most important part of the head board bent back under very little pressure. If you ever rested the head board on the floor after fastening to the bed frame and need to pull your bed away from the wall, you would most likely destroy these boards necessary to hold the head board to the bed frame. Since this is supposed to fit full and queen, there is 3" of unfinished particle board showing on both sides for a full size bed. Looks very bad. I am a very handy person and I will make this work by reinforcing the poorly designed parts, gluing it for additional strength and I will paint the bare particle board but believe me this will be like putting lip stick on a pig. I had to destroy the box to get the parts out of the box so returning it is not likely which would be my first choice. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Finally got around to building this. It's all fiberboard which makes it real sensitive to moisture. The surface is a thin laminate instead of a stained veneer. It's only laminated on the visible surfaces. The parts bag didn't come with any extra pieces, so I had to be super careful not to lose any of them. The instructions Have the boards labeled with alpha characters but no concise alignment directions. Meaning that you will have to guestimate which way is "up" on some of the parts and you won't know it's upside down until you have the whole thing together. The main face board has pre-drilled holes but no matching tap holes on the mount, so you also need to be careful about alignment on the final part. Measure it out and pre-tap unless you want to chance splitting the fiberboard.

This brand leaves a lot to be desired. You get what you pay for. Purchased this, the matching dresser, nightstand and bookcase. Had to have bookcase and dresser replaced before it even was put together as the pieces came damaged. Nightstand was the only thing that came with no issues. Headboard is fit for a full/queen BUT beware if you are using for a full, the poor craftsmanship at the bottom leaves it unfinished where it connects to a full or queen frame. Meaning, if a queen were attached, you wouldn't know the difference. With a full being placed on the holes another couple inches in from both sides, there should still be the gray faux wood finish, but there is not. Just 2-3" of unfinished wood. Tacky, but the skirt covers it up if the fan isn't on.

Looks nice, but it's pretty flimsy. The instructions could have been better and the assembly left a lot to be desired. The back piece had to be nailed on, freehand. There were no markings or "starter holes" to guide. The headboard mounting holes are simple, round holes, with no give, as opposed to being oblong to allow you some wiggle room when mounting to the frame.This didn't line up perfectly with the bedframe that I bought from Amazon, so we had to use some small pieces of wood to lift it up a little and force the screws into the frame.If you're putting this in a room, where you can place it flat against the wall, you should be okay. Unfortunately, I have baseboard heating, as such, I can't prop this up against the wall, so it moves way too much for my liking. When it inevitably breaks (and break it will) I'll get something better.

I really do love this headboard. I was able to assembly it myself. The instructions were very easy to follow and it only took me about 45min. One flaw is that the headboard has a back plate that you can only see from an angle what the material is made of. I had wished that it was covered with the gray laminate as the rest of the headboard. It fit my queen bed perfectly and Do NOT recommend this for a full.

Absolutely love out headboard and nightstand!!!! It seems like a good quality product so far. I'm excited!!! Only downside maybe is putting it all together (which is never fun to do with any furniture). Otherwise we're completely in love and it complements our room beautifully!!

I bought a new bed and mattress. Didn't come with headboard... Not a biggie right?.... I thought I could go on without it.... NOPE! My pillow kept falling behind my bed ! That's when I decided to move "ahead" ( Pun intended ) and buy this one. After extensive search I found a good fit for my needs and budget. I'm very happy with how It looks in my bedroom and it does the job. No more waking up and reaching up for my pillow or wondering what happened to it during the night !

Building was an easy thing. If you’re solo , like me and have mobility issues or Strugglelifting, this will be difficult to build- at best. I had no issues, but the center board is a bit heavier for less physically fit folks. The color is a “soft medium Gray”, it matches a nickel lamp, with white lamp shade, white bedding, and Carolina blue blackout fabric. Shipping was quick, but - again, if you have mobility issues I would NOT recommend you buy and build.

This furniture is typical 'assembly required' furniture. I put it together in about 40 minutes. The colour and fit and finish of the pieces were nearly perfect and, provided the enclosed instructions are followed, the furniture assembles easily. Take your time, do not use undue force when assembling and you will have a great piece that will last a long time.One note: this piece did not come with the bolts necessary to attach to the bedframe... but, I happened to have some stashed so no issues. I have several South Shore pieces and they're all awesome.

Solid and a very nice looking piece of furniture. Colours are very nice. Good price
