Greenworks 40V 19" Brushless (Push) Cordless Lawn Mower, 4.0Ah Battery and Charger

I’ve used this mower twice and it works really well. Cuts grass as easily as my prior B&D but is so much less heavy which is due to the smaller size battery and the chassis being metal vs the heavy plastic/vinyl of my old machine. I read one comment that compares this mower to a toy and I can understand that now after using it since it is very lightweight for a mower. That may bother a big stronger person in utilizing it but for an old lady with back issues it’s the perfect size/weight to maneuver around. The mower does an excellent job cutting grass & it’s more compact than my older mower which I had to trash bc the battery no longer charged. I have a 75x100 lot so rather small but still enough to need a decent mower. You can’t beat battery powered lawn tools for personal use. No gas, oil, or spark plugs to worry about & no gas fumes! There are only two negatives so far: 1) it’s a bit difficult to push in the battery as it tends to not click in on the first push 2) one battery charge doesn’t quite last to complete both my back & front yards like my older mower but for me that’s not a problem as I usually do only one area on one day then do the other side another day. Actually there is one other thing the manufacturer can improve is in securing the battery & charger inside the lawnmower box. Both items were wrapped, the battery in bubble wrap; the charger I believe was in a small box but both were just loose in the larger mower box and could have been easily damaged in transit, especially the battery. I’ve included some photos of my back yard to show the area after cutting & the mower. Good price too for what it can do. The battery is my favorite feature as I can hold it in one hand! My old mower I could barely lift the battery out to get it charged it was so huge & heavy. I’m cruising now.

Absolutely love this mower but the battery dies (even after fully charged) about 2/3 way through my yard. And I do not have a big yard at all!! But for an old lady it was easy to put together and easy to use. Does a beautiful job. Just frustrating battery doesn't do whole yard. Now I am going to have to get a second one and that cost almost as much as the whole lawn mower. But gotta to say I love this little guy!!

I purchased this electric lawnmower to replace an earlier one from another brand I had used for several years. First, I am happy with the mower. I have used it three times and it mows well Getting here was an effort. The mower I first ordered had a rear wheel improperly installed. (It pressed against the side of the lawnmower and. wouldn't turn freely. Clearly visible and noted in other reviews.) When I tried to mow with it, the mower stopped after fifteen minutes and would not restart. The replacement mower arrived a few days later. It appeared to be ok but had a missing part. One of the cam lock and knob assemblies to connect the upper and lower handles was not present. I went online in a chat with customer support and (since I had the manual) gave them the needed part number which was for both the cam lock and it's knob. What arrived was a different part number and only a cam lock with no knob to attach to it. I contacted customer support a second time and they explained that the requested part was not in stock and the part I received should work. I thanked them and pointed out that I still needed a knob (per the part number I gave them) to use the part sent. Once they sent the needed knob, I was good to go.

I have a small area of lawn. My traditional mower was too hard to start , pulling the cord to start, and heavy to push. With my new battery mower, I put in a charged battery and press start. Cuts like a dream with little stress to me. I can mow my own lawn now with ease.

The media could not be loaded.  Buyer Beware! I ordered and received the Greenworks lawnmower in Nov. 2023. I used it once to mow my lawn in Nov. before storing it away for the winter (I live in the Chicagoland area). In Apr. 2024, I was able to mow about a quarter of my yard before the lawnmower quit. This was my second time using the lawnmower. After removing the outside housing, I saw a frayed and separated wire so the lawn mower will no longer start. Pretty poor quality for the second time ever using it to mow my lawn. I called Greenworks and, after staying on hold for an hour, they sent a new lawnmower as a replacement. This lawn mower is also poorly constructed and the lever for the mowing height will not slot - see video. You can move the lever into the slot, but it will not stay slotted. This is straight out of the box as I was assembling the lawn mower. I called Greenworks and was on hold for 1.5 hours. They asked me to send them the video and said they would call back the next day. They never called back. So, after waiting a day, I called them. After another 1.5 hours on hold, they answered and acknowledged they received the video. They argued about the video - I couldn't believe it! They said I needed to use both hands and force the lever somehow to slot. Unbelievable! They finally agreed the lever would not slot and offered to send a second replacement lawn mower (which would be my third). Geez, this lawn mower is a piece of garbage. I don't need a third lawn mower that won't work so I declined. After receiving 2 lawn mowers, I don't need a third non-functioning lawn mower that won't work out of the box, or, if it did, would not last past one or two lawn mowings. It is really poor construction.

Mower is lightweight, I can pick it up and place it in the back of my vehicle. Very quiet, we have a family member who sleeps late and is not disturbed by the mower. Battery lasts the duration of us cutting 1/2 acre of lawn.
