Original Review:The hat is awesome. It really is. The color is great. The fit is great, looks super nice. However I gave it 3 stars because the threads are fraying on the logo the day it was unboxed. If it was for me, I would probably care less. But it was purchased as a gift and I'm kinda bummed that the Tillak logo will likely fall off through normal wearUpdate:This company’s customer service is pretty unbeatable. I ordered the hat and it came with the flaring by the logo as shown in the photo. I posted my review and was promptly contacted by the company asking what they could do to fix the problem. Sent me a new hat without the fraying and even let me keep the imperfect one. I have since bought a second hat in their green color and it came in perfect condition.I genuinely can’t stress how nice this hat is. Currently trying to decide on the next color to get from them 🤔

Really like the look of the hat. Nylon feels great and works wonderfully if you are sweating. The hat stays on fairly well even when I was playing basketball. The first time I ordered though, the logo on the hat was crooked. Great customer service though, got back to me very quickly and sent me a new hat free of charge. The only problem is that the logo for the replacement hat is just ever so slightly crooked though. Overall love the hat, I just wish that the logo lined up a little better.

The hat is high quality and looks good. That said, to comfortably wear this hat I had to tighten the strap down a bit. When the strap is tightened, the back corners pop up, so the hat looks boxy in the back, rather than curved with my the shape of the back of my skull. It feels like a trucker cap at that point, so sadly, I won't continue wearing it.

This hat is rad. Everything I was looking for in hat: 5 panel construction, good fit, weather and life resistant, looks dope, and beautiful color. I wear it for right around everything, in the month I've had the hat i've used it while biking around town, mountain biking climbs, trail running, camping, backpacking, gym workouts, climbing, fly fishing. Solid hat and overall stoked on the purchase. I bought another in green cause I was so stocked on the red. I also really love the fact that company donates proceeds to a worthy cause, and for that, I highly recommend these dudes.

UPDATE - Tillak emailed me back straight away and were so awesome and have sent me two new hats. Very kind of them and so cool!! Was not expecting that, very very happy. What a great company and customer service. Legends!The hat just arrived tonight, the stitching is coming out in 3 places. I am pretty sad because I was really excited about it and wearing it on my upcoming hikes, I love the company and what they stand for, I am in New Zealand so returning it is a bit of a pain. On a brighter note, if the hat was in good shape it would be so awesome!! Rad material, shape, fit and color.

The hat seems to be decent quality but “on size fits most” must mean most children and not adults. This is now my 5 year old son’s hat.

As a backpacker, I often hate carrying the extra weight of a hat but I find it useful when keeping rain off my head and the sun out of my eyes. This is extremely packable and light and does the job very well. Its surprisingly thin and very breathable (although they have a model with vented side panels as well). I find hats most helpful under my rain coat and the brim seems sturdy enough to keep the rain out of my eyes.Thanks for making a hat that is actually stylish and functional for hikers trying to be conscious of what they carry. Much appreciated.

The Tillak Wallowa Camp hat is so incredibly comfortable! It is light for the hot weather and it fits really well. I use it for walking my dog, hiking the trails, sitting outside playing my ukulele, travelling...heck, just about all the time! I really, really like Tillak's ethical philosophy so much so that I ordered a second hat!!! Order it! You'll love it.
