Department 56 Dickens' Village Carolers Accessory Figurine

Looking to expand my collection of Christmas figurines, and having done plenty of caroling in my life, I bought this piece. Upon receiving it, I was charmed with it the moment I took it out of its packaging. Instant Christmas joy! I had decided the day before to do a bit of decorating in my cubicle at work. So I took numerous plastic and metallic items to work, along with this piece. This CERAMIC piece. Everything looked lovely set atop my low cubicle wall, and in my infinite wisdom I set this figurine — this charming CERAMIC figurine — closest to my cubicle entrance. You know, the cubicle entrance I use numerous times every day. I thought to myself, "Oh, this figurine, this lovely CERAMIC figurine, will be fine as it sits atop my 3" cubicle wall mere INCHES from where I'm passing near it numerous times every day. Nothing bad can possibly happen during the Christmas season, right?" Well, around midday on the 3rd or 4th day, the stack of files I was carrying decided to come in contact with this lovely CERAMIC figurine, and launched it into the airspace for an impromptu Christmas jaunt. I can only hope the figurine enjoyed its unexpected holiday excursion for a few exhilarating seconds before that nasty anti-Christmas entity called Gravity monstrously grasped my lovely figurine and pulled it violently towards the floor. The thinly carpeted floor. Alas, though Christmas is a time of joy and wonder and magic, it is nonetheless powerless to suspend the laws of physics. So in case you have ever found yourself wondering if ceramic figurines can collide with a firm surface after a 4' fall and not be broken into numerous pieces, it's my unfortunate duty to report that they cannot. Subsequent attempts to carefully reunite the pieces into a joyous reunion of restored wholeness proved unsatisfactory — ergo, funeral services are pending. RIP, beautiful little Christmas figurine. RIP.

Looks a lot smaller than I expected but looks amazing and very detailed! A great decoration piece!

Wonderful addition to my Dickens Village. Fantastic quality at a fair price. Dept 56 does need to pay closer attention to scale, however. The figurines seem like giants next to the buildings.

Looks great with the classic Christmas tree figure, but (although you don't notice unless you examine it closely) I do wish the faces were more carefully painted. Still, creates a lovely impression in our village square.

Product came packaged well and in good shape. A bit expensive but it looks nice.

I purchased this item to add to the collection of Dept. 56 figurines my friend was collecting. She liked it and added it to her display on her fireplace mantel. Then the cat jumped up on the mantel and knocked several pieces down, but luckily this piece was still standing!

A nice addition to my Christmas Carol Village. I try to add a piece or two each year and these carolers were perfect. Hand crafted detail and vivid colors make each Dept 56 piece unique.

It's simply beautifully detailed and I'm so pleased with it. The lighting is perfect! I can't wait to give it to my daughter. It's the beginning of her collection!

I have to give this item 5 stars even though my first one came completely broken, in about six different pieces. I put in for a replacement item, and it arrived (in perfect condition!!) even before I sent back the broken piece. EXCELLENT customer service from Amazon!!

Beautiful additions for my Christmas.

Any Dept. 56 item is always top quality, and is well worth spending the extra money. The pieces will be heirlooms for my family to share some day.
