Frigidaire 3/4 HP Corded Garbage Disposal for Kitchen Sinks | FF75DISPC1

Our Insinkerator died at 10 years old. We replaced the 1/3hp with this 1.15hp monster. Its heavier and taller. Even though we were able to use the existing Insinkerator sink plate, I chose to remove all of that and replace with the new ones. Glad I did. The old one was getting pretty bad and the plumbers putty was done.Problem - So, I ordered a "used like new" at a substantial discount from Amazon warehouse. The first one came in a beat up box and was all scratched, dented, and the black drain hose was cracked. Ordered a replacement and it looks like it was new. Return of the broken up one was easy.Installation- Installation is standard except for the rubberized magnet wrap. That took a bit of doing to get it in there. It's in and the disposal works great. Use - It runs much quieter than the Insinkerator. As others have stated, it does drain slowly. This is due to the black rubber drain flap that prevents splash back when operating. (The Insinkerator flap had a large hole in the center) Like others did, I just simply cut back some of the center points of rubber for each section to make a slightly larger open hole. It drains faster now and I dont see any ill effects from doing so.

Simple install! Quieter than the reviews say! Works like a charm!

This replaced an older unit. It works amazingly well. It’s quieter than expected. And chews through almost anything.

I installed a 1/2HP unit two years ago and it works great. I decided to downsize from a huge, old, leaky Whirlpool, and glad I did. More space under sink and not-too-noisy. We don't put much down the disposal, so don't need much power. As others have said the rubber sink strainer has small openings so water and food don't pass through easily -- which can be a good thing for the errant spoon. It also removes which is nice for cleaning.

This garbge disposal is a little on the large size and a little on the heavy side, but if you have room under the cupboard and a sturdy sink this thing grinds like a champ. It is quiet and a smooth operator. Very happy with this purchase, and it looks like it will last for years.

Easy installation. Helps to have two people because it is pretty heavy. Some reviews complain about noise...This is a powerful machine, you are going to have some noise. It is well within reason. I have not have a single clog in the year I have had it installed. My old machine clogged weekly. Great product at a great price.

Did not need to remove/replace itHas a unique magnetic band which fits around the unit to help revent metal object from being chewed up or hurled back at you. Referred to as the Silver Band or similar....humorous in than silver is non magnetic.Took under 45 minutes to remove old and install new. Trimmed ABS as noted above. Plug is attached to unit. Plug and Play...or Plug and Grind!TEN YEAR WARRANTY! Very happy with it.CONS: (Very Minor, just to note)Due to sound enclosure, unit is wider. Required a 3/4" shortening of cross flow ABS pipe.Mounting plate to discharge pipe is metric. "old" unit bolts won't fit. Comes with all new hardware.Made in China.

This was a perfect replacement of my Insinkerator unit. I didn’t even have to replace the ring on the sink. It is a little bit noisier but the cost more than offsets that inconvenience. I have purchased several Frigidaire products over the years and have been happy with their products. Time will only tell how long this will last.

Easy to install, cheaper than in store

La entrega fue en tiempo y forma, sin embargo la caja interna (productor) venia en mal estado (rasgada y deteriorada)

Great little unit - good value but noisy

It attached to the existing Insinkerstor hardware so easy to install. It’s a little deeper so we lost some storage space. You need to wire in an on/off switch if you don’t have it already.

The Frigidaire food disposal unit is probably a great unit except it's not compatible with the Australian 240volt power point outlets.Unfortunately I did not find this out until I received the item and saw 120volts printed on the box and power cord being completely different.This should have been made clear in the description but was not. It only stated as a corded food disposal unit.
