Rust spots after the 1st wash!!!!!!

"dishwasher safe"... er... no... rusted after 1 wash... literally rust spots everywhere. They are sharp but the fact they rusted the same day I opened the package is unforgivable. Returning!!!

Great for arthritic hands!

I have terrible arthritis in my hands. I love Kitchenaid! I show a picture of my fingers, why I need a scissors with bigger openings for my fingers. A great product for arthritic hands and great quality. Highly recommend!

The screw comes loose and needs to be constantly tightened

I've had great experiences with KitchenAid products in the past, but I was really disappointed with the workmanship of these scissors. The blades stayed pretty sharp for the most part, BUT the screw that holds the blades together came loose within the first 6 months I had them! I first re-tightened the screw by hand, thinking it was just a fluke or something, but every. single. time. I use them to cut something (meat, salad greens, you name it), the screw comes loose. We tried tightening the screw with tools the next few times, but it will not stay tight. (This is particularly bad because the blades need to be flush against each other to cut effectively -- when the screw gets loosed, the blades are wiggly and cut like that bad pair of scissors that can't cut straight...). I'm super disappointed :(

Bad*ss beyond compare.

I'm a big fan of kitchen shears and bought these almost exactly a year ago. All along, I've been super impressed with how sharp and well made they are. Today, however, they reached the pinnacle of bad*ss. After weeks of trying to find something that would cut a heavy rubber pond liner, I decided to try these. Four hours later, most of an 8 ft. X 8 ft. heavy-ply pond liner is in pieces, and I'm totally trashed, but the shears aren't. They're still sharp. That's beyond bad*ss.I'm buying another pair right now, in case they ever stop making them.

Nice touch. Cuts meat very well and I love ...

Where you put your fingers to cut has rubber lining which keeps the scissors from sliding when your hands are wet. Nice touch. Cuts meat very well and I love that it coordinates perfectly with my other gray appliances and kitchen items

Best kitchen shears EVER!

I LOVE THESE KITCHEN SHEARS! After my beloved kitchen shears came up missing, I was forced to buy a crappy $0.88 pair to get me through. I hated those things, but because I only thought about them when I had to use them, I forgot to replace them for the longest time. Thus, a well-honed hate for them was developed and I swore I wouldn't buy another pair without plenty of research. That research yielded the KitchenAid KC351OHGSA Multi-Purpose Scissors, so I bought them. BEST. KITCHEN. SHEARS. EVER.These things cut everything I've thrown at them. They're easy to clean, fit in my butcher block, and are built very solidly. If you've been stuck with a pair you hate, buy these!

Great potential here.

So far, this is a full 5 stars for these. They are larger than I expected, the handles have an excellent feel, not the flexible ones, but they don't feel like cheap hard handles either. The blades are longer and widerthan I expected, and the sheath is a thick plastic that snaps on when you push the blades up in it.I have a VERY nice pair of Wusthof break apart scissors that I keep solely for indoor veggiesand their blades sit in the supplied cardboard sleeve.I almost think they made a mistake with the pricing on these. I'm very happy with them, andthey are my general kitchen shears. If I can tout them like this in 6 months, they'll be replacingother shears (NOT my Wusthof's, but there's a quality AND price difference justification there) and I'll be buying them as gifts.

The remarkable flying scissors!

I bought these a year and a half ago for $7.99. I chose to write a review now because I had purchased another pair of stainless steel scissors from a different company for about a dollar less at the same time and I am throwing them away because they are rusting. I use these scissors at least once a day in my kitchen. They still look and work great. They have a nice heft to them and I have never sharpened them in spite of not treating them gently. I suspect the serrated edge has something to do with the prolonged sharpness but I don't know for sure. I wasn't sure I'd like the extra step of using the cover and expected to lose it quickly but I still use it every time. It not only protects but there is something satisfying about the way it clicks into place. The action of the scissors has never been too loose or tight. They are so popular in my family that they frequently sprout wings and disappear in spite of my strong requests that they stay in our kitchen so I have them when I need them. I have just purchased two more pairs of Kitchenaid scissors to hopefully allow these to not fly off so often.

Good handles and sharp.

Good sharp scissors to replace old ones. Grip is nice and soft. Blades are sharp. They’re scissors so I don’t ask a lot from them. Probably get a cheaper set in the supermarkets but these should last a while. Nice plastic blade cover for when in the kitchen drawers.
