These will easily hold a heavier guitar, as long as you are able to anchor them into a stud. Drywall anchors would be susceptible to problems.

Hmmm, who decides "what it should be priced at?" It's the best cleaner and conditioner out there and it requires very little to clean my $2,000 Martin. I would say it is a bargain. If Amazon's price isn't competitive, shop around

Wow, that's an unexpected question. I am not a drummer, but I have a $2000.00 Martin GPC 16 made of rosewood with a satin finish (non-glossy). This finish allows the wood to absorb the oil in the Martin guitar polish. But the Martin guitar polish also does a very good job of cleaning the wood. For example, I accidently got saliva on the upper part of the guitar edge (a couple of droplets) and I didn't realize it. When I discovered it, I was concerned it might permanently stain the wood. I used the Martin polish and it cleaned off the stain in just a second. The guitar looks as good as new. So, even though I don't play drums, I would guess that this won't hurt "raw wood." However, because it has oil in it, it may change the color of the wood. Think about this. Martin recommends this polish for its guitars, many of which can range in price to over a $100,000.00. Martin is not going to recommend anything that would damage the guitar. For a more precise answer, I would suggest that you call Martin and ask them. My last suggestion would to see if your drum manufacturer can provide instructions to you to treat the wood. They may be able to recommend a product for your drums.
