Merckens Coating Melting Wafers White 5 pounds melting chocolate, 80 Ounce

I was initially worried that this was not the right chocolate for a fondue fountain but I followed the instructions and melted at 50% power for 30-second increments. Added a teeny bit of vegetable oil to make it a little more thin and it was PERFECT!! I’m so happy I bought this chocolate. I used oil-based chocolate food coloring that did not affect the quality at all. Oh! The taste of the chocolate was delicious. I was worried it would be bland or waxy but that was absolutely not the case. 10/10!!

This brand and product is amazing. But the way Amazon delivered my 5 pound bag I am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. I needed it for a birthday party I had to make treats for and the entire 5 pound bag came entirely melted into a block.

I melted these using a double boiler and found that it took quite a long time to fully melt. Once removed from the heat, the chocolate began to set up quickly, so I had to work fast. Some online reviews mentioned these aren’t a true white, and I’d agree—that’s accurate. However, I used an oil-based food coloring and the slight off-white tint didn’t affect the final color at all. The taste is smooth and pleasant, not overly sweet. Great for coating, just be ready to keep it warm as you work.

So this was my first time attempted to make sweet treats for a baby shower. I bought these melts and let me tell you they were fabulous. They melted beautifully and tasted even better!
