great tool
I've had this took for a couple of weeks now, have had no issues. When I have used it, it brings the weeds right up. We have had a lot of rain lately and this tool has been outside in the elements. I have not seen any rust form. Really like it so far.

It's uncomfortably short for my 5'8" stature
Pros: Once you get the hang of HOW to use the tool, it works fine. It is durable.Cons: Too short (I would like it to be about 48 inches instead of 36 inches). Almost impossible to use if you use a jab and pry method.Overall: Simple and effective for weeding. Practice will help you develop a technique for efficient use.

Still The Same Durable Name Brand!
Whoever said this long handled dandelion weeder bent on its 3rd use must have had an elephant stand on it. Made by Ames, who has made all of the army infantry entrenching tools for decades, it is tough enough to spear a whale. The working end is reinforced and the hickory handle, ball-bat material. No complaints are warranted.

You can still purchase
Very nice varnished wooden handle. We tried to find one at Walmart, Lowe’s, Home Depot and Harbor Freight and no one had one for sale. The name Ames kept coming up everywhere we tried.

Works well in popping out small weeds. Works best if ground is soft and moist.
Works best if soil is soft and somewhat moist. Saved my back and knees. Very sturdy.

long handled dandilion puller
about an hour after i received it i went out to dig dandilions and it bent on the 3rd one. i have a short handled one that I use weekly and it is 50 or more years oldd and it is as straight as the day it was purchased. i returned it and bought another one - hopefully it does a better job.
