Purchased this for my boyfriend for Valentines Day. We both love wooden boxes like these. I needed something large enough to put about a 14 chocolate covered caramel pretzel sticks in I was making for him. They fit with plenty of room. I chose this box over another I was looking at as the length of it, wanted to be certain the sticks would fit. Also, I wanted it to be something that not only looked good but he could use in his home office after the holiday. This box will fit business sized envelopes. So future it could be helpful for him as he always has a lot of business mail to srot and other misc. items, markers, etc he needs a organized place for.I generally save all our gift bags so can re-use them on other holidays. It was cute when he said he assumed I would be wanting to the box back too... and I could see he wanted to keep it. :) I told him it was for him and he smiled and was happy.I figured he would like it as had given him a key shaped flash drive last valentines day in a smaller wooden box and he really liked it an saw he still had it sitting on his work space a year later.

I LOVE IT!!!! I bought 9 to give to my 95 year old dads great grandchildren ... I will give it to them with the book The littlest Angel with the idea that God and their greatgrandpa hope they run and climb and create and save treasures as they grow. My dad ( their great grandpa) was a WWII Vet who just passed away) and the idea of the box is not only that it is reminiscent of the 1930's and 1940's when my dad was in college , but a link to his words and wishes for them , and a tradition to store away the rocks and ribbons and anything in the world that they collect as they grow to the man or woman they want to be )

Bought this to hide dog grooming supplies so I could leave them on the table and have quick access to them. (I've got a high maintenance breed that requires serious daily grooming.) I just wanted something that would look ok and be sturdy enough and this trunk does that. It's spacious inside and lined, which is appreciated. The wood on the side of the trunk came a little scuffed and the latch could be better done (more secure, but easier to open--mine is stiff and requires two hands). The leather handle on the top is smashed so it lays unevenly with an ugly bend in the leather. Mine came in a *very* "cherry" kind of color (more "cherry" than I expected from the photo). In all, it's fine and I'll use it but if I saw it in person first, I'm not sure I would have bought it instead of something else.

I am very very happy with my treasure box, for me, that's exactly what it holds. I have a fountain pen kit sent to me from England and sealing wax and sealing stamp, everything for an old fashioned letter and this holds everything perfect and there's room for me to add more stuff still. Even though the box is more Edwardian than Old English, it got the better reviews, and now I see why. It is so roomy, and it looks great by itself without anyone even knowing it's more than decoration. There is a lopsided hinge, but it doesn't affect how it opens, and one small nail head I can feel, however, overall, this was definitely the best treasure box for me. I like how the lid curves higher than the rim, as I tend to over buy on these projects so even if I get a little bit too much, there will still be room. I must say though as I sit here looking at the shelf. It looks very sophisticated sitting on the shelf.

This is truly a treasure chest. The authentic look and feel makes it a perfect item to be placed on any table top. Wood and Leather with a lined inside. Great item. I use mine as a storage for my remotes and other small items that one requires when captivated by the ‘Boob Tube’. Small bottle of antacids, lighter, rolling papers, Netflix and Apple TV remotes as well as the TV, Cable and Soundbar remotes all fit with room to spare. Purchased one for a friend, she keeps hers on her nightstand, I’m not even going to ask what she keeps in her Treasure Chest.

Got this to stash my husband's toiletries in when guests are over, so his stuff isn't all over the counter. Very pretty and well made box. Works like a charm

Quality not what I expected and items much small than I envisioned.
