Q: Does the machine connect to wifi for updates?

No WiFi or network connection. However you can manually download software and a firmware update to your laptop and update this machine via a USB cable. The Attack From Mars machine has minor glitches on a few tables and the update takes care of them. It was a little confusing but worked fine. Just look it up on YouTube and it'll walk you through it. It's a fun machine for a good price. Very enjoyable.

Q: Does this have a real ball or is it digital?

It's all digital but the physics and movement on the tables (except the glitch on white waters frame rate) makes 9 out of 10 as life like as it could possibly be. Plus the solenoids give you that real feel bumper and flipper contact.
