Q: I have one of these and love it but curious what actually changes when you twist to different numbers............can't see any part that changes?

When I raised a similar question with one of my wine aficionados I was told that the change in the amount of aeration that occurs is not perceptible to the eye but that it does open wider to allow more air to penetrate the pour.

Q: We are interested in this aerator- however we are put off by the concept of pouring good wine through plastic. Any thoughts on this?

Well it's an Aerator and depending on how much you tilt the aerator is how much air mixes with the wine and that seems to be what you want. It does not leave any plastic after taste, if that is what you are wondering. Besides, most aerators are made of plastic anyway. I really enjoyed the one I have. I hope this helps.

Q: Does it go in the dishwasher?

The clear plastic cracks in the dishwasher.

Q: Is device dishwasher safe?

I looked at the original packaging (we travel a lot and like to take it with us, so its really easy to toss back in the box). There was no reference to being dishwasher safe, however it rinses very easily in hit running water for a quick cleanse. It is quite sturdy and made of think plastic and stainless steel. I would suspect it is dishwasher safe, but cannot confirm.

Really great little aerator

Christmas gift for my husband and it works great. For a quick aerator when you are just pouring a single glass this works great and does an alexcellent job of aerating a single glass while being a small profile that stores easily in our drawer of bar tools.

perfect for aerating my wine and keeping it fresh

we like sharing wine at dinner so this lid is a one step solution to transporting and dispensing nicely aerated wine. It's a tight fit so i make sure the bottle is at room temp before i try to remove it.

Wine Aeration Works

All the attributes mentioned in Host's video an advertisements are true. Red wine gets aerated immediately and is lovely enhanced boquet and better flavors.

RARE FIND: AERATE & STORE, ALL IN ONE UNIT

This is so simple to use: Insert unit into open wine bottle, tip/pour bottle based on the type of wine/degree of aeration desired, then use attached "cork" to seal the wine bottle to keep it fresh. While I have seen many aerators, and many wine "corks," I have found very few that do both. In addition, this unit aearates based on how far you tilt the bottle (tilt slightly for white wines needing little/ no aearation all the way to full tilt for red wines needing aggressive aeration). I keep several on-hand at all times and have given these as gifts -- they are amazing.

Immediata ossigenazione con miglioramento olfattivo e di gusto

Funziona !! ero scettico però effettivamente il vino cambia nei profumi e nel gusto, non sarà uguale a una bottiglia aperta ore prima e lasciata respirare, però si avvicina e permette di bere un vino invecchiato anche appena stappato.Consigliato.
