Oatey Universal 4-1/4 in. Round Snap-Tite Shower Strainer, Matte Black

I ordered a round matte black shower strainer for my shower. Unfortunately they sent me a square one. I contacted them and they sent me a round one. It fits perfectly and looks great! I couldn’t be happier!

I couldn't find any matte black shower drains locally. We installed the pipe with a silver drain strainer. I was able to easily pop the silver one off and replace with the black to match the other hardware in the bathroom. Looks great!

It looked like it was going to be an easy snap-in process, but I spent almost 10 minutes trying to snap it in place. Im not sure what made it difficult but after a few tries and finally getting it to stay in place, its well secured and matches wonderfully with the rest of hardware. Its in place well hasn't chipped or discolored in any way, I'll update if it changes. So far I recommend 👍🏻

I don't believe this should be a really easy item to remove (and how would I know, I just installed it) but it's a universal fit and the color (black) matches the rest of the shower fixtures. Oatey is a respected brand and the price was competitive. This should be a solid purchase.
