Looks great, comfy for a modern sofa
For the price, this sofa is unbeatable. yes, it's faux leather but it looks real (a plus if you own cats and they like to make thousands of little pricks in the sides--at least it's not a super expensive sofa they are doing it too--I put blanket throws on the arms, and my cats are apparently too dumb to figure out there's something underneath, so that problem has been resolved). Anyhow, the sofa is comfy (not VERY, but comfy--just don't expect the comfort of an overstuffed fabric sofa; it is a leather (faux) sofa, after all). The profile is low, so keep that in mind--it's ideal for company, get-togethers, reading, etc.--not snuggling up with your pet or partner. The color is fantastic. The set up was easy (took less than 10 minutes from unboxing to finish).

Stylish - Not The Most Comfortable
I got this couch last month, and to preface my review, I will say that I needed this piece for furnishing my first apartment and I am confined to a VERY tight budget. So I was looking for the cheapest couch possible that still looked nice. Overall I am satisfied with my first ever couch, but excited for the day when I can afford a nice, high quality, real leather, and comfortable couch, and give this one to someone in need. So if you can afford to get a better couch than this one, I would recommend to just bite the bullet and invest in a better couch. You will regret your purchase if you had more money to spend on a couch and got this one instead. I simply couldn't afford a nicer couch.First, I'll start off with the cons: If you are looking for a comfortable couch and that is your #1 priority in buying a couch, this is not the couch for you. Just pay more for comfort. Seriously. It will be worth it for you. If you are looking for a quality couch that will last a long time, this is not the couch for you. For example, the arms are held in place by 3 bolts at the bottom, and so when people lean their bodyweight on the arm (most people I know sit this way), you can tell its not meant to support that type of lounging because it moves and creaks a little lol. My sister slept over on the couch and she said that she would have been more comfortable if I had a sleeping pad, so I'll have to invest in one of those for my guests. Keep in mind, she's a side sleeper and this is a firm couch. Might be better if you sleep on your back, but still, the couch is not as padded as I thought it would be. I was expecting the padding to be firm because that's what I saw from reviews, but it doesn’t seem as substantial as I'd hoped. I thought the foam was going to be more dense? Idk how else to describe it, but that is something that surprised me a little was how "hollow" the seats feel. Like eventually with more wear I'll just fall through. Even with how cheap it is, I wasn't expecting the seats to feel like that. Oh well.To end my review on a positive note...Pros: This couch was easy to assemble, I am pregnant and was able to do it all by myself easily within an hour or 2. The instructions were straightforward and everything was labeled accurately. The couch looks exactly like the photos, it is very aesthetic and chic. The price is great, you really can't complain much with this pricepoint. Biggest reason why I bought it was the look of it and the price point, as well as the fact that is doubles as a sleeper for guests. It is comfortable enough (if you're not going to be lounging for hours), and is on the firm side, which I like firm. This couch suits my needs.Overall, I was pinching pennies when buying this, and I am already looking forward to when I can afford a nicer, more cozy couch. However, it suits my needs for the time being and will get me by. Plus it's just so darn good looking in my living room. I am satisfied with the purchase. :)

Nice Futon
I recently purchased two of these futons. I read a lot of the reviews before buying. I was certainly hesitant to buy after reading how these were uncomfortable and too firm etc. Everything about the futon is well thought out. They supply the exact amount of washers, nuts and bolts as well as a blister pack of back ups, which I never had to use. All of the components are well labeled and included an easy to read instruction booklet. The tools, legs and hardware were boxed and tucked neatly amongst the folded futon. The futon arms were in the two zippered compartments beneath the seats. The folded futon and arms were encased in a thin black fabric to protect it. You receive the tools to put it together, though the flat wrench is exhausting to use. Some reviews mention that their futon arms were wobbly or seemed like they would break under pressure. The arms shouldn’t be wobbly if you hand tightened them properly. You have to work your way back and forth tightening the nuts. The first nuts become loose after you tighten the latter. I am leaning my back on the arm of the futon as I write this, I have no fear that it will break! There are four bolts, nuts, washers and lock washers on each arm; it’s not going anywhere. I assembled both futons myself but I would recommend getting an assistant when flipping them right side up, as you don’t want to damage the legs and because the couch wants to fold in half at the hinge when you move it. There are four nice wood legs, the two center legs/supports are a sturdy plastic. The center legs have a horizontal flange with screw holes. The center legs and flange are all one piece of plastic. These legs affix directly over the large hinges between the two bottom cushion sections. This aspect of the design is my least favorite. I don’t care for the center hinge of the futon and how the plastic legs affix to that. Of course the couch wanted to fold along the hinge after the legs were affixed, I worried that the plastic legs would snap but they didn’t. It serves its purpose for having a compact, easy to ship futon though. The fabric is nice and the green seems to have brown under-tones. I believe the fabric is linen-look rather than actual linen. The green is gorgeous. As far as the comfort: there is ample padding on the futon back. The seat has springs and padding. I find the futon comfortable and not overly firm. I have had no trouble sleeping on it at all. The seat height is perfect for me (5’5”), I don’t feel like it’s too low. The seat depth is perfect for me as well. There is no movement nor creaking whatsoever when I jiggle the futon, the futon is solidly built. Overall I feel like I made a good purchase on this retro design (under $300 with tax) and I’m glad I took the chance on it. It doesn’t look nor feel cheap. I think it is a fair price for what you get. Both futons were free from rips, breaks and stains or funny odors. One futon shipping box was a bit crushed on both ends, like it had been dropped, I didn’t see any visible damage when I opened it though. There is no packing material so any impact from dropping it goes straight to the futon.
