My son (and I) both love these books! We have both learned so much from them and found the content funny, surprising and sometimes completely disgusting.Personally I've learned more from reading these books to my son than I ever did in History class at school.,Well Done Horrible Histories - more please!

Granddaughter loves them

They arrived on time and well packaged.One small drawback they arrived with a flimsy sleeve. It's a shame because they are great books. They only way the sleeve/outer cover remain in tact is if I put an elastic band around the books. Problem solved.The books are a great read and a very cleaver way to invite or introduce history through funny/humerus books. All the historical facts are correct; the author is a genius the way he gets into the child's ɓadults mind through humor amusement and illustrations. Many people feel history is boring subject made to be fun and it comes to life. It's as if you yourself are involved and waking through the pages of history.The text is easy to understand the author has used knowledge, facts, information to get his message across to the reader and the wider audience. Parents/teachers could read these books along side the conventional way of teaching history.The series of bòoks cover a wider range of subjects. They are a great read for school children and their patents too. I purchased these for my granddaughter as she finds history boring

My eldest has been doing ancient Greece in school so bought these books to coincide with the syllabus.Easy to read with gory facts. She loves them

Brought these for my eldest daughter. She loved the TV programme and these have been great for developing her reading. They are how I remember them being.

Was having a hard time finding these all 2nd hand in the US, happy to find this set with the "core" titles, son loves it, brought one in to school for show and tell Book day.

My 9 year old is obsessed. We watch the show a lot and they have these books at his school. He was so happy to get the set as a Christmas present so he can read them any time.

These books were a birthday present for my granddaughter . She loves this series. The set of eight she received was opened and one volume clearly had water damage. I believe we were given a set returned by a previous customer, not a new set. Granddaughter is happy, I am less so but it’s not worth the trouble to try and return them. We live in different states. Not the experience I expect as a Prime member.
