A toilet in my house was constantly trickling water into the bowl. It was tough to estimate how much water I was wasting, but it was running 24/7 so I bet it was material. When I looked inside the tank it was clear that the flapper was very old so I started there - easy peasy replacement, but the problem persisted. I then realized the valve wasn’t fully shutting off - even when the float was elevated there was water coming into the tank and eventually going into the overflow tube. This valve was an exact replacement and took about 15 min to install with no tools needed. Price is right and problem is solved. I’m thinking that our hard water is fouling up the valve over time so I’m glad this is an inexpensive and easy repair.

Easy to install with 0 leaks and easy to adjust. Wasn’t very loud, super light weight but with a great build quality to it. Would purchase again

Never had to do this before, first time. I was able to install it in about 30 minutes. I did about an hour of research before purchase to make sure I bought the right part as I wasn’t sure if this would replace the toilet fill valve & ballcock in my Mansfield toilet.. this part worked perfectly.The instructions say sponge/towel is optional but I think it’s mandatory. It’s hard to get all the water out of the tank. When you take out the old fill valve, the rest of the water in the tank will just fall out of the hole from removal of the fill valve. So just keep a bucket under the hole to catch the water that drains out. A towel on the floor behind the toilet under the fill valve hole will ensure you don’t get the wall and floor covered with water.Also be sure to measure the height of the fill valve and make sure it’s at the right height before fully installing it. Once the fill valve is installed and water is placed in tank, the only way to adjust the height of the fill valve is to take it out and start over.. which requires draining the tank again and removing the locking washer. So measure twice before installing.I like the fill valve because it’s quiet and does a good job. Only installed it a few days ago but seems to be doing well so far. Price is also reasonable. Wish it was made in USA, but other than that seems like a good product.

This style valve has been around a for a while now, and sure is a game changer from the old all-metal valves of 40 plus years ago. Not only do they give a good service life, but when they do fail, it's usually the rubber diaphragm valve that begins to leak, and that's an inexpensive replaceable component, done in minutes, without having to take the whole thing apart. It's also highly adjustable for varying water levels.I'm a fan!
