FantasiaMaterials: 5 lbs Blue Calcite Rough Stones from Madagascar

Absolutely beautiful!!! The pieces I received were generous sized and still intact. The few pieces that were broken are still quite useful for orgonite or jewelry work. Other reviewers complained about the lack of the "aurora borealis" effect but mine were quite stunning for being rough pieces. I was seeing a beautiful glow pre-washed inside the bag.I know it can vary from batch to batch because they are natural (and you cannot control nature) but try washing them in cold water with a gentle brush (like a toothbrush) and then place them in sunlight before full judgement. Also rough stone will hide a lot of the stone's brilliance so if you are not cabbing, tumbling or polishing them you may not see a lot of the colourful effects but they are there. I have a strange love of rough stone so I will wet sand a few but keep the rest as is.I only washed 5 pieces to take pics and you can really see the beautiful colours even with my crappy tablet camera.In the 3 lb bag I received 46 stones... Most were quite large (small palm size) and some smaller 1-2 inch pieces. I am very happy with this purchase and would buy the 5 lb from this company the next time I desire more!!! Highly recommended!!!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  these are nice. for the price they are okay. raw they are not blue in color or evenly iridescent thats the nature of the rock but the photo does leave you to believe they will all be a blue green gold iridescent goreous with jusy a rinse. about 70% of the ones i got had at least one goreous side but quality isnt cosistent with photos. i will update this when/if i tumble the raw stones

I know some other people said their pieces didn't have flash, but almost all of mine did. Very beautiful flash with a variety of color. Looking forward to working with these!Note: if you're new to this stone in its raw form, keep in mind that you may have to sand them down and polish them to get to some "flash" -- if you get any at all. Don't expect it to come to you looking like what you see in jewelry. It takes work to get it to look like that. That's just part of working with natural (not lab-created) materials.

The high quality of many of the stones was amazing, and I was amazed that so many of the stones were that good. Since Labradorite varies a lot, I'm used to finding just a few good stones in any shipment. This was the best lot I've ever gotten. The pictures led me to think maybe I might get some pieces with that really deep blue that isn't too common. There were a lot of stones with some of that blue, and a few stones had entire blue surfaces on one or two sides. A number of stones had a sort of rainbow-like effect with blue adjacent to aqua or yellow, then yellow followed by orange, ending in mauve. That is a pattern you can see occasionally but it isn't real common. Many of the stones had two entire opposite surfaces with color. I was just astonished at the quality. It is true, at least in dim indoor late afternoon light it was, that at first glance it just looked like a pile of mid-range grey rocks in a box, and I didn't expect much. But then I started washing up a few individual rocks, and the quality was just fantastic, so I washed up a few more, and those were excellent too. I still haven't gotten through them all, but am ordering a second lot now, even though I don't need more, but I'm really curious to know if getting so many rocks of such high quality in one shipment was just a lucky fluke.

At first glance you may just see a bunch of rocks but once you bust one open, that's when you see all the pretty colors. I use these to make rings, earrings and necklaces. So beautiful. Definitely would buy again!

Great seller. Shipped promptly. Very happy with the quality of my order. I cleaned them in my ultrasonic, and inspected them wet. These will suit my needs very well. Only 4 stones were specimen quality. All the rest have some very nice eye clean areas, or are mostly eye clean. 5 stones are real bright, 6 others are not but these 11 stones were mostly eye clean. All in all 5 real bright stones mostly eye clean all 5 are 22g - 30g. 6 "darker" stones were 160g. 4 pc's 81.4 g had large bright eye clean areas. If I need more quartz I'll be back to buy more if in stock.

Stunning! These are absolutely amazing but I knew they would be as fantasia has never disappointed me. Everything I've ordered has been great. I started tumbling about three months ago and I've ordered several things from several companies. Time has proven fantasia to be the best of all and is who I now order exclusively from. Give them a try. I've never had an issue but as life is if an issue came up i have no doubt they will be there. I base this on the excellent quality of all I've received and no longer hesitate to order anything.

This are very beautiful gemstones I've ever seen. The vibrant blue luminate strongly.(Picture taken right out of box before any washing.) Wow awesome. Though I had realized as one reviewer complained that all gemstone received was white. I had received few also, to my surprised they are moonstone with a few having black tourmaline in them. Giving five stars due to unexpected wanted surprised. The energy from this just feels very right. Thank you.
