This hanging lamp is great for a smaller dining area. It comes with 4 ft of chain and a bracket that will work on a vaulted ceiling. The 4 ft chain is enough for most ceilings. The fixture has a down light, so the illumination is focused mostly on the dining table. I would recommend 60 watt LED bulbs, which provide quite a bit of lighting. If you want something less bright, use 40 watt bulbs. The design is good, and the finish of the metal is very good. The glass is frosted and overall, it has a contemporary look. I couldn't find a 3 light fixture in any of the home supply stores and this product is well made and a good value.

The globe is a perfect match for the other lights in 3 rooms of my house. The instructions say to use pliers to open the first link in the chain to attach the chain to the loop at the top of the light fixture. The problem was that it was next to impossible to open/close the link because it is a heavy duty chain. It took 3 of us and 20 minutes to finally get the job done. That link is now quite deformed but since it is hanging nobody is going to see it.If the manufacturer doesn't want to change to a lighter weight chain, I would suggest providing an "S" hook to connect the chain to the fixture.

The only trouble I had with this light was the chain was not attached to the top filial, as is shown -- and the chain links are WAY too strong to bend. Every time I tried to hang it up, the weight of the lamp would pull the wire through the chain and lower the light. So I worked up a sturdy wire wrap to make the attachment and once hung, it was beautiful!The design is very nice and it's exactly as bright as I needed to replace the floor lamp that was taking up so much space. I installed a 60-watt LED bulb. Works VERY well!

Absolutely LOVE my new lamp! The brightness is perfect. Not too bright, not too dim.. The cord is woven through the chain, & they are LONG. But, I'm not bothered by the length, at all. Our living room is small. But, we just secured it around the window, & behind the drapes, with some small cable clips (as shown in my pictures). It also makes it versatile for large rooms, or high ceilings, with plenty of slack. I read a few reviews that mentioned people having a hard time opening that first chain link, to attach it to the lamp.. Well, there's a simple solution! You can buy a quick link (also attached a picture of one) for $1 at your local hardware store, and VOILA! Problem solved!

Bright enough for our children's rooms, gives enough light to play, read and do homework. Fancier chandeliers the kids had before did not give enough light. Looks nice. Easy to assemble. Uses a standard bulb size, works with LED bulbs.

Even though did not arrive when promised (the fault of the carrier not Amazon) we had it up 3 minutes and looks great! Yes the switch for the light is close to the floor but for our usage it is not applicable as we have a dedicated off/on wall switch. Very happy!Very happy with the lamp, exceeded our expectations but still not happy with the uncertainty caused but shipping promises as the shipping instructions changed at least 2 times and for us the carrier who delivered if we had to go get it due to not being home would have cost us over $50.00 in taxis fares to get it. Amazon needs to work on this s issue
