(12 Pack) GBO 16 oz. Amber Boston Round Glass with Black Poly Cone Cap

I needed these bottles in order to get rid of all of the old plastic and ceramic dispensing containers sitting on the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room counters. I really did not care so much about the caps, but I am happy to have them in case I find a use for them later. The caps do not seem to be made from heavyweight lab or industrial quality plastic, and I didn't expect them to be for the price of this case. If you need this type of quality cap you will need to purchase them separately and they do cost. What I moved on to after the bottles was finding aesthetic, high-quality, longer-lasting, metal-topped dispensing pumps to fit them. That took a really long time and was a more complicated purchase, but in the process I discovered the perennial, lousy-quality, dispensing pump issue that got me started on this project did not just affect me. It seemed to also plague a large number of reviewers on amazon.Getting back to the bottles, they are not thin and fragile, nor are they thick and sturdy like beer bottles. I would put them right in the middle of those extremes. I rated them highly because I believe that they will safely serve the purpose for which I bought them for a very long time. I only expect I will need to deal with dispensing pump component infrequently if I am lucky, but this is not this seller's issue. On the shipping and delivery, it was incredibly fast and I did not pay for that. The case of bottles was sealed in a box inside an outer carton. Inside the case each capped bottle was fully wrapped with a reasonably thick piece of foam sheeting. There were no cardboard dividers between the bottles and I don't think they were needed. Every bottle was in perfect condition and ready to use. It can't get any better than this. The cost was very competitive and a good value.The one thing I wanted to add after reading a lot of the reviews on these bottles is about the issue of safety, and the buyer ordering the right kind of bottle for their intended use. Those who mentioned making expansion-type beverages like beer or kombucha which put too much pressure on the container, and then had a problem with the glass and/or cap breaking concerned me as a longtime healthcare worker. I can assure you that it is far less costly to pay to buy a heavier bottle and a stronger cap than have someone injured inadvertently with the cost of healthcare today. For myself I just found another item on amazon to make my intended use of two of these glass bottles for dish soap by the kitchen sink a lot safer. There are silicone caps available that fully cover the bottom part of the 16 ounce bottle so that it does not slip around on a slick or wet surface. The silicone cap also will make it easier and safer when picking up the bottle with wet hands to squirt soap in a dishpan. I really wanted to get rid of the plastic bottles where I could, and finding the right parts to avoid any glass accidents made that possible. I rarely write reviews on amazon, have never been paid to write a review on amazon, and wrote this review because I wanted to help the seller's business with an accurate and favorable review.

This was exactly what I wanted to bottle my homemade kombucha in. It's a strong quality glass with a perfect thickness when it comes to natural pressure building up in the bottle, the amber hue helps to prevent UV light from entering the glass (of course, to an extent) and the 'Poly Cone' cap is great, but not necessary to ensure perfect airtight closure. I tried to purchase it thru GlassBottleOutlet themselves however, you can only pay with Credit Card or PayPal, no Debit accepted. Hence why I went thru Amazon.Will definitely be purchasing again!Con/Pro: Amazon is known for terribly packaged glass when it comes to shipping a product, I've had several items break in route due to lack of internal packaging (bubble wrap/packaging peanuts) AND NO 'FRAGILE' label on the outside. POSITIVE NOTE: this items was ALL intact. I'd honestly like to thank GlassBottleOutlet for a quality product and better packaging.

Dark amber, size is perfect and they are sturdy with a tight cap. Will order more in the future.

I'm very happy with my purchase. The bottles all came unbroken. I can see how other people could have received broken bottle's though. There's no protection to protect them from breaking. They are about as thick as a beer bottle, and I have had none of the caps break. They seem to be sturdy to me. I tightened them really good and no problems. I plan to store liquid nicotine in these for making my own eliquid. I would recommend them for the price! If I end up having problems with the caps I'll update my review, but from what I can see they're fine.

The bottles are just what you want but the caps seems decent but after repeated use, they often seem to crack around the top edge. They do not tolerate a repeated tight closure. Once the cap breaks, you have a useless bottle. Have not found a way to buy extra caps to cover for the ones that occasionally break. I understand occasional cap breakage but most have eventually broke for me with most of my whole 12 pack. If there was a very rugged cap, these could last forever.

I needed larger bottles for the herbal oils and glycerites I make. These are just what I need. One was broken when the box arrived (poorly packed by Amazon, not the company). I sent a note from my Order page through Amazon to them (with photos of broken bottle) and they initiated a replacement immediately. I will be a repeat customer based on their excellent Customer Service. Rare these days to find a company that responds quickly (as in less than 30 minutes) and solves the issue.
