HIPA (Pack of 2) 1/4" 90 Degree Fuel Shut Off Valve for 698181 494539 697944 Tecumseh 35857

This is used for a fuel tank shutoff on a 10HP Tecumseh snow blower engine. It didn't have a valve previously,.I just cut the hose below the fuel tank and inserted the valve with the included spring clamps. This will allow me, at the end of the snow season, to shut off the fuel and run the engine until the fuel in the carburetor is gone. I can't rate the durability as I just installed it, but it appears to be well made.

They work just fine for my Toro 720 snowblower. I had replaced the original a couple years ago, and this fall when I was getting the snowblower ready for winter I saw that the replacement had started leaking around the shutoff cap. I ordered these from Amazon, and installed one in a couple minutes.The turn is much firmer than the previous one, so I am confident they will last, and not leak, for a long time. But, if it starts leaking, I have a spare on hand, all at a cost of less than the previous replacement I bought from my lawn and garden parts store.

Just what I needed to repair a garden tiller, helps not having to drain the tank every time you need to work on the carburetor or to shut the fuel off for when you put a piece of equipment up for the season. The 90 was the perfect angle for the tiller set up.

My '82 Ariens Sno Thro never had a fuel shutoff. This made seasonal storage and carb maintenance a pain. With his kit and a set of side cutters, you can add a fuel shutoff in a few minutes to any piece of outdoor power equipment. Highly recommended.

If you want an in-line fuel filter, purchase separately. I needed this valve for the 1/4" fitting on both sides. Some valves with attached filters will not fit 1/4" tube on filter side.
