The Dessert Cookbook for Beginners: 100+ Simple Recipes for the New Baker

So many great dessert ideas in this book! And all of them look easy for a non-Baker.

I recommend this for anyone who loves baking!

I am a grown woman who has only ever baked from a box. I honestly thought baking from scratch would be difficult. This book made it so easy! I have made multiple recipes. My family has loved all the baking I have been doing. In the beginning of the book it tells you everything you will need. From pans, ingredients to cooking utensils. The recipes are very well written for a beginner like me. I use this book multiple times a week.

I was provided with an advance copy of Heather Farmers new cookbook, "The Dessert Cookbook for Beginners," by the publisher, Rockridge Press. As a high school culinary arts and baking teacher, I was very excited to try these new recipes with my students! Two of our favorites are the Russian Tea Cakes, which are perfect for new bakers, and the Coconut Lemon Bars which gave the students a challenge in measuring their ingredients correctly and with time management. Looking ahead, the students want to make the Gingerbread Cupcakes with Maple Glaze!I have followed and used recipes from BostonGirlBakes many times in the past for my classes and I have always loved the results. My only wish for the cookbook would be to see more pictures of the finished products!

Great book and very well written. Easy to follow instructions. All the basic desserts are included and some I didn't realize I wanted to try. Everything I have made so far has turned out well. A great learning book overall.

Design and quality

This book had the perfect recipes. My devils food cake came out so good and I’ve made some of my best cupcakes with this book. As beginner I think its perfect. DONT WASTE TIME BUY IT!!!!

I can’t wait to start using it.
