This amaranth is great quality and a great price too!

I bought this as a meat alternative. I’ve never had it before- it’s filling and satisfying. The portion in this bucket will last me quite awhile! The product is well packaged. This also will make a great and unique long-term food storage item. I will definitely buy this product again.

Mix this with teff as a porridge and your insides will be squeaky clean in a good way. And I mean no streak squeaky clean. Provided you reduce you meat intake. On the sebi list as an alkaline food. Pulls the irritation out the stomach from the residues of other bad foods in my opinion when mixed with teff.

I’ve ordered this product in the past and have been satisfied with the quality and price. When I received this last order, the first thing I noticed was how much lighter the container felt. As you see from the photo it was not full. To be sure, I measured in kilograms and the amount was 1 full kilogram short of the 3.17kg listed on the bucket. I then measured the number of servings and came up with 47, not the 61 listed. Disappointed!

Hard grains not soft after cooking.

UPDATE: seller promptly refunded the purchase price upon reading this review.It's difficult to get this to pop cleanly. That often means the grain is not very fresh - probably a prior year's harvest. Which, at this time of year is probably unavoidable but still disappointing. I'll be going back to my previous brand when I can.m
