However, I’ve had no problems at all! The key is to press down from the center slowly and evenly—this ensures the silicone seal works perfectly. With this simple technique, the tumbler seals beautifully every time. Overall, the Ello glass tumbler has quickly become my favorite companion for drinks on the go. I recently picked up this set of 18 oz glass tumblers with bamboo lids, and I couldn’t be happier with them. The glass feels durable and well-made, while the bamboo lid adds a sleek, natural touch. The rubber sleeve is a standout—it’s thick, grips well, and makes the tumbler comfortable to hold while also protecting the glass. I love that it comes as a two-pack, perfect for daily use or sharing. They’re the perfect size for iced coffee, tea, or water, and they look great sitting on the counter. I know everyone starts out by saying this, but I really don't ever write reviews. I received the coral one as a gift from a friend at work and loved it so much that I ordered 1 grey (already gifted) and 3 teal for other friends as gifts. I read the reviews and love these glasses so much that I thought it was deserving of an awesome (and positive) review. 1. The lid is wood, but it is coated with a protective sealant to make sure the wood is not permeable. With the possibility of mold growing based on other reviews, I hand-wash the lid and make sure to dry it as much as possible so I don't find it growing one day. The only way I can see it growing, though, is if the lid is negligently taken care of, or even put in the dishwasher. 2. The colors are SO vibrant, and even the grey was beautiful! I wish I had taken a photo of it. The only one I didn't order was the denim, since it seemed to be more purple-ish from the listing photos. 3. The glasses aren't insulated. The purpose of the silicone on the outside is the same as any other glass tumbler with a silicone wrap on it -- to make sure it's protected from bumps, bangs and [hopefully] drops. It is glass, though... So try not to do any of those things! 4. I have washed the cup and straw in the dishwasher but prefer to hand-wash the cup to keep it looking new, clean and to prevent any water from getting under the sleeve like other reviews have mentioned. Long story short, if you take care of your things, they will always stay nice. ...And I really like this glass!! I will definitely order more in the future and will update the review if anything changes, but it's been a month since I got my coral one and I'm still an obsessive everyday user today. Currently drinking my homemade iced coffee out of it. Cheers! :)

It tells you the lid is hand wash only, but you know how people are. Grab the package, toss it, use product like anything else, and wash like all other dishes. It's a great tumbler. Easy to grip, easy to wash, glass so it's super easy to clean, and the silicone gasket part, keeps liquids in. Down side, straw hole can get some leaking if the bottle tips over in your bag while carrying it. Not too big of a deal though. Please be aware if you wash the lid in the dishwasher, it will warp and expand because its bamboo. If you do this on accident, soak the lid in water, place in the cup overnight and it should go back to normal.

Love these cups! I was worried the quality wouldn't be the best, but the glass is very thick and seems durable if the cup tipped. The silicone on the outside is nice and provides a grip when holding or setting it down on a table. I use these for iced coffee and they don't get condensation on them which is great. The lids seal nicely, but I wouldn't say they are spillproof.

I LOVE this cup! The design is beautiful & functional. No leaks when it’s tilted on the side, it only comes through the straw which is expected. It travels easily in a standard size cup holder. The rubber sleeve makes it easy to grip & help with the durability of it. I have other cups, but always reach for my Ello. I really only experience little condensation at the top, but never at the bottom where it’s leaving a ring on my table. For the price it is worth it, but I got mine during prime day & got a really good deal for 2.

I’ve had this cup since October. I loved it initially but the wood lid has not only started peeling but it has expanded so i can barely get the lid on and off. Such a bummer. This does sweat a lot as well. Not sure how many more uses i’ll get out of it

I have been looking for a glass water bottle because I wanted to change from plastic. I really loved the design and size of this water bottle and that it has a rubber sleeve so you don't need a coaster when you put it on a table. It comes in several colors to choose from and it is very easy to clean. I also was very impressed with the price because it looks like it would be very expensive from the way it is constructed. I would definetly recommend this product to anyone looking to change from plastic to glass and have a quality water bottle.
