Canarm Margo 1 Light Brushed Pewter Rod Pendant, Classic Design for Kitchens, Breakfast Nooks and Dining Areas

This pendant is ideal for any design and style! If you have a vertical ceiling, twist the hinge at the base to accommodate (angled ceilings such as those in attics). I needed to replace a defective mini pendant over my PC area and bought this CANARM from the Margo collection. The pendant includes 3 x 12-Inch and 2 x 6-Inch rods to adjust the height - I only used 2 of the long ones for my application. The pendant is glass with a beautiful pewter finish with slanted frost art-deco lines. This pendant provides function over form and the price is completely amazing for a very well made (in China) product. To save on my home energy bills I always replace reg bulbs with LEDs. For this Margo pendant, I bought a Kobi Electric K0M8 10-watt (60-Watt) Omni Directional A19 LED 4000K Neutral White Light Bulb (which is dimmable), here on Amazon. This pendant was very easy to assemble but make sure the mounting screws are only partially screwed in to adjust for the decorative nuts (on outside of base) since they are too long.Update: the Kobi LED I had purchased here on Amazon with this pendant lit up too much of my PC space and what I needed was a spot light. So if what you need is a spot light... I got a Ledwholesalers Dimmable Par20 8 Watt E26 Screw Base LED Spot Light with Interchangeable Wide Angle Flood Lens for Recessed or Track Lights, White, 133 on Amazon - now everything is perfect.

I purchased 3 of these to install over my counters. They were exactly what I was looking for.Pros 1. Glass shade not plastic. 2. Price is fantastic. 3. As other reviewers have noted these use a standard light bulb up to 100 watts. 4. No exposed wires just a clean metal look. 5. Comes with multiple 6 inch and 12 inch downrods so you can customize the length to your needs.Cons 1. One of my lamp shades has slight black discoloration on the tip. 2. I installed these myself with no assistance. I strongly advise at least having a second set of hands. 3. The base is a little small. It goes well with the overall size of the lamp, but it does not fully cover the sloppy drywall hole under one of my junction boxes. Another quarter of an inch width would really go a long way.Overall none of the cons are worth deducting a whole star. If I could give this 4.5 star that would be the perfect rating.

I ordered 3 of these, but ended up only using 2 over my sink. It looked too small to use over the breakfast nook area as I had intended, and I had to buy a different light for that spot. ( I wish they carried a companion light in a larger size.) Since it was more than 30 days, I could not return it.When the electrician finally installed them, we discovered the porcelain socket was broken on one of them, so I guess it was good I had the spare one. They were relatively inexpensive, so I think it will be good to have the spare glass cylinder also, in case one should get broken.I love the simple classy look, the hanging rods, the price point. Would recommend checking the lights thoroughly when they are received, not just the glass.

All metal with a nice glass shade. They aren't the highest quality, but for spending under $150 each, the quality is great.For vertical mounting, ditch the angled swivel for a cleaner look. The rods are composed of three 12" rods and two 6" rods that screw together. The joints between the rods is usually visible and I had to mix-match different rods to minimize the seam. Also, the mounting plate that comes with it doesn't fit the electrical boxes in my house, so I had to force them in. The wire nuts are also too small for connecting to solid core wire, let alone connecting to a series connection with 2+ solid core wires, but if you are doing this kind of work you should probably have some better ones on hand anyways (I did)Again, for the price they are hard to beat. I have seen lower quality lights for much more money. They look great and I'm glad I bought them.

This thing looks nice, once you get it installed. The “instructions” are useless. I have installed light fixtures that mount in the same way as this one, so I knew what to do. The ceramic light socket is stupidly cheap. The socket is threaded on the outside so that you can screw on a stupidly cheap metal ring that holds the glass shade on. I had to order a replacement because the socket on the first one I received had broken threading. The metal ring would not screw on all the way. I received the replacement and went at it again. After some frustration, it’s up, and I do like it.

The fixtures are beautiful but the product is next to impossible to install due to the fact that it only includes a fixed mounting bracket instead one of the rotating ones. The screws that hold the fixture to the ceiling extend above the height of the bracket and unfortunately are in the exact same place as the screws that hold the bracket to the ceiling. Because of this the mounting screws have to be set at an angle. I'm going to try filing down the junction box screw holes, but this product really should ship with a two part rotating bracket.

Bought two of these lights to go over the new sink in the newly built kitchen. These are really nice and have bright light although you can put other lights in to suit yourself. The shades are white. It comes with a combination of downrods which worked out perfect for us. They have 2 -12" and 4- 6". When you first open it, it looks like four 12" rods, but then after further review you will notice that the 6" are screwed together to look like a 12". I used one 12" and one 6" and it was perfect. I loved that they gave you that option of a 6". The shade is real glass. These are just classy and stylish. Very happy with them.

The design of the light is nice however the quality is poor. Ordered two of the fixtures and the glass surround for one was chipped. Ordered a replacement and this time the glass had a flaw in it and the lines that are part of the design in the glass were much darker. Don't want to go through the hassle of returning it again not knowing what we will get.
