Farmer's Market Organic Sweet Potato Puree, 15-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12)

I bought these Bc canned pumpkin purée was not available in my area. Ordinarily I would peel, bake, and purée sweet potatoes myself but time was of the essence— pssst🤔🤫- I might not anymore!!I Love the convenience of having this on hand! Saves time and mess!Originally I purchased these for my puppy as I’ve been supplementing her diet Bc of digestive issues. Pumpkin is my go to- Bc of the pandemic literally no stores had them in stock in my area. Pure Sweet potato purée is a great next best choice, but it is hard to find. My local stores canned sweet potatoes all include heavy syrup- no thank you!!Finding these were a God send as her delicate system was not tolerating her food and she came to us very emaciated... not gonna lie I was panicking!Pros:•The flavor is delicious!!•Pure sweet potato deliciousness- both human & canine approved!!•I could literally eat it straight out of the can.•Convenient to have on hand- no mess just open can & enjoy!•Contains Only Organic sweet potatoes,•No extra sugar, Food Coloring, Thickeners or Other additives.Cons:•This brand’s sweet potato purée is a bit thinner than the pumpkin purée I’m accustomed to- so keep in that in mind. •$2/can is fairly steep considering u could buy 1-2 lbs of sweet potatoes for same price for 16 Oz can of purée- ur paying for the convenience.

I am so happy to have found these canned sweet potatoes on line! I live in a small town many hours away from anything like a Whole Foods. I have begun to eat more organic and unprocessed foods. These sweet potatoes fit my needs. I try to cook most of my vegetables myself, but there are days I just can't keep up with cooking and family. Those are the times I turn to these sweet potatoes and pumpkin by the same company. Works well for a quick breakfast, the base of a soup or bread, even cookies. So many ways to use them! And so very convenient. Oh, and they taste delicious too!These canned sweet potatoes are minimally processed, organic and have nothing else added.Perfect for what I wanted. I am very satisfied. Love that they are available on subscribe and save. I get them every month.

The ingredients list nothing but "organic sweet potato." No sugar, salt, nothing.Sweet potatoes are extremely healthful, and it's especially nice to get them without other ingredients. Many canned sweet potatoes arrive in sugary syrup, but not these.Actually, these are not canned sweet potatoes. They're sweet potato puree. I was surprised when I opened the can expecting to find whole sweet potatoes, and instead found puree. The picture on the can misleadingly displays whole sweet potatoes, though the label does say puree.One benefit of puree is that you get more sweet potato for your money. The entire can is filled with puree, unlike canned sweet potatoes.This Farmer's Market puree tastes great (if you like sweet potatoes).

I believe in Food Cures instead of meds so I fix this all the time. I fix it like you would normally fix whole sweet potatoes. I put organic cinnamon, dark brown sugar, iodized cell salt, 1 teaspoon of organic lemon juice and a couple of tablespoons of organic butter. Add everything according to the cook's taste. You can bake it or cook it on top of the stove, you can thicken it with corn starch if you like and also add it to other recipes. It doesn't disturb your blood sugar like white potatoes do. It is so great with a roast pork, fresh baked ham, chicken, and especially with pork ribs or pork chops. Add some fried whole corn in organic butter and some home made cold slaw and you're done. Very quick dinner. Oh, some organic baked beans are good with it too. I use bacon, cinnamon, brown sugarm fried onions, (in the bacon first) ketsup and a little mustard. I also add raisins or pineapple tid bits sometimes. Everybody loves it. Read some food cure books if you can. amazon has plenty of them.

**Update: I tried ordering these again but made sure nothing else shipped with it, ie: NOT subscribe & save. This really helped and though one can was sort of dented, it wasn't that bad. They had packaged it really well and with a plastic guard this time, in a cardboard bottom, in a cardboard box within Amazon's box that fit well. Relieved I may be able to order this again regularly, especially during the pandemic.I don’t know how to rate this because I LOVE THE PURÉE!! It’s delicious and makes a great snack, meal or addition to stews and baked goods. I am sickened by Amazon continuing to deliver these cans where ALL OF THEM (24 cans, we ordered 2 boxes) are dented and therefore, a waste. It’s a waste of really good food. It makes me never want to use Amazon again, to be honest.It seems to be that they arrive OK when ordered separately as a 12 pack. However, when added to Subscribe and Save, they’re put in a huge box with other items and barely any packaging.Amazon, I hope you’ll change your practices with all canned foods to avoid major waste and even more harm to the environment. Until then, I think I’ll refrain from using your services, end my subscription and take my business elsewhere to a more responsible company. Especially because I’ve called to issue my complaint about this before and clearly was ignored.

My husband loves to eat this mixed with a little vanilla pudding for breakfast. Sweet potatoes are already so high in sugar but it is so hard to find them canned without a bunch of excessively sugary syrup. This is perfect--just what I was looking for!

Ordering any canned good on Amazon is a hit or miss exercise. You can guarantee that at least two to three cans will be dented, but the convenience is appreciated, so you take the hit (so to speak). These turned out to be a BIG WIN! Slightly dented on a few of the tops, but nothing unusable. The flavor of these sweet potatoes is delicious! Packed with sweet and rich flavor and plenty of vitamins. Its a win in our house. We make sweet potato and black bean tamales with this product. Wonderful taste that is worth the dent risk. :)
