Convenient, but I'm skeptical about the 50 lbs claim
UPDATE: I recently used a bag to carry two 1 gallon jugs of milk (short trips while loading into my car, then carrying into my home). It held up. I was still nervous due to the thin material & minimal stitching, though. I also realize these are a bit larger than normal reusable plastic bags. Not by much, but enough to hold two 1 gallon jugs of milk.ORIGINAL REVIEW:These are EXTREMELY lightweight bags. They're convenient to keep in your car since they don't take up very much space. You could easily hide five of them in one of the pockets behind the front seat of a car.My daughter likes to keep a bag stashed her purse (which is usually tiny or small in size) just in case she wants to do some light shopping on a whim. They've gotten rid of disposable plastic bags where we live, and she doesn't like paying for the flimsy paper bags that most stores offer now. She prefers to use one of these bags (in most cases) because they have handles, which generally make them easier to carry.Using these bags has been very similar to using disposable plastic bags. They're about the same size/capacity. They're made of super thin fabric. We got the black color, and you can see light peering thru them without holding them in front of an actual light source. So, they basically handle just the same. If you put a weighted item in the bag, the bag will sag/drape just the same as a disposable plastic one would. It has absolutely no structure to it. The handles can be tied together to keep items from shifting or falling out.The only difference is that these bags are washable/reusable and can hold significantly more weight than a traditional thin disposable plastic bag could. (To be clear: I'm not comparing these to the much thicker, "made from recycled plastic" bags that closely resemble traditional disposable plastic bags.)I doubt a single one of these bags could hold 50 lbs as advertised... but I'm not about to toss a few kettle bells into one just to challenge that claim. I did test one bag with a 20 lb kettle bell, and it held fine for about a minute before I removed the weight. No tearing, stretching, or warping. That was good enough for me. I can't really think of anything you could buy (aside from actual weights) that would fit into a bag of this size and come close to weighing 50 lbs total. It would be uncomfortable - maybe even painful - on your hands to carry several of these bags with such heavy weight in them (just as it would be when carrying heavy items in a bunch of disposable plastic bags). The stitching on these bags is very minimal (simple, single stich lines). I worry the threads will give out if pushed too hard. I try not to fill these bags beyond a reasonable weight/capacity. I've used them maybe 4-5 times now for groceries. I feel okay carrying two 52 oz juice bottles (e.g., Simply Lemonade, a standard carton of orange juice, etc.) with some candy bars in one bag... or a gallon of milk with five bags of shredded cheese. I've worried about items puncturing the thin fabric, but so far that hasn't happened. At this time, I'm undecided if I would buy these again. At the very least, I wish the fabric was a bit denser and the stitching was reinforced. I still prefer to use reusable plastic tote bags when grocery shopping. The tote bags feel sturdier, have way more space, and have some structure to them, which makes packing much easier.Still... these bags offer a lot of convenience with how small they can be folded down. They work very well for holding several lightweight items or clothing. So, it's definitely nice to have one on hand when simply picking up some toiletries and hardware or something.Time will tell if these things actually hold up. But I don't think I'll ever try loading them beyond 15-20 lbs, unless I'm willing to take the risk of the contents busting out of the bag.

Good, But Not Different
Previously I bought a ten pack of another brand. Somehow I lost a few so when I saw these on sale I thought I’d get them. The pictures look more square than the others, but for the most part they seem the same. No problems, but not a bigger bag.

Great for Groceries and bigger than I thought
These are great bags for the gorcery store. I have used them several times now and they seem to be holding up. They are bigger than the cheap plastic bags still availble at the store. Give them a try. I would buy again.
