PHENOMENAL, unparalleled customer service from IQ Home Entertainment; fantastic speakers, too
These Klipsch speakers are amazing and better than expected. However, the customer service provided by James and Johnny at IQ Home Entertainment -- the vendor -- is the real story here -- their attention after the sale was STELLAR! Very rarely does one experience the type of customer care that I experienced with IQ. It was superior in every way.Flashback: The speakers arrived promptly and looked fabulous. Unfortunately, however, one of the two towers was damaged during shipment -- the box apparently was dropped at some point during shipping and this was readily apparent. These are GORGEOUS tower speakers and I was quite disappointed. After describing this to Johnny from IQ and sending pictures to James, also with IQ, a replacement tower was promptly sent. I was excited about receiving it and took delivery of the replacement tower speaker in my driveway, merely days after contacting IQ Home Entertainment. Sadly, however, this speaker, too, was damaged during shipping. A silver dollar-sized hole somehow "happened" during shipping and my son and I could literally reach our hand in the box and feel where the beautiful finish of this speaker was scratched badly. I was devastated! How could this happen twice? With IQ Home Entertainment, though, one is in very good, "ethical" hands, as I soon learned. I contacted them again and after a pleasant conversation with James, the manager, I felt confident that the issue would be resolved. Understanding my concerns about another speaker being damaged during shipment -- just as the first two were -- James offered to ship the speaker using another delivery company. He was beyond courteous, allowed me to voice my concerns and allayed my fears of having yet another speaker damaged during shipment. His solution worked. The (second) replacement speaker arrived within 48 hours and was undamaged -- partly because of better handling, but also because IQ Home Entertainment double packed and reinforced the Klipsch box with additional packing and boxing. We could readily see upon arrival that James and his staff had gone way beyond the call of duty to ensure that this speaker arrived safely and undamaged. We were thrilled and still are. These speakers are the best I have ever owned and I am incredibly pleased. However, the real story here is IQ Home Entertainment and their superior customer service:1. They listened without interruption so that I could convey what had happened.2. They were extremely polite and I could readily tell that they genuinely cared.3. They promptly assessed the situation and sent a replacement immediately.4. After the replacement showed up damaged and I was (polite but) understandably upset, manager James took the (professional) initiative to change shipping companies, double pack the box to ensure safe passage and keep up with the delivery, knowing that I had already had two problematic deliveries.5. Just WOW! Fantastic customer service. For anyone seeking to deal with a courteous, professional home entertainment company that carries great products like Klipsch, IQ Home Entertainment cannot be beaten! As the former Director of Public Relations for a publishing company, I can tell you that I would have been proud to have them in my company because they understand the value of quality customer relations. Personally, I would have suggested to upper management that both representatives of the company be given promotions and raises. Most impressively, I could tell that both James and John genuinely cared and that they were honest and ethical -- they went the extra mile! THANK YOU BOTH!I cannot recommend IQ Home Entertainment enough. They take care of their customers! Oh, and YES, the Klipsch speakers are awesome, too! Thank you IQ! Thank you Amazon for dealing with such a quality vendor.

Buy from seller who ships double boxed
UPDATE Below: Im not going to repeat the same positive pros and cons. But i will say they are phenomenal in every way, but. I replaced my 2010 Bic America PL89 towers with these. Wow right out of the box. As many say, yes, they are a tad on the bright side (music), so a subwoofer is imo needed. It is also a known fact that speakers in general need many hours to break in, i waited a month and then ran Audyssey on my Denon X4500h with a BasX A2 160w RMS amp to take the load off my AVR. UPDATE: For some reason the BasX 160w A-2 Amp by Emotiva can NOT be pushed with these speakers, i blew both tweeters a week apart, and 3rd time again on right tower. Klipsch was very accommodating sending me replacement tweeters, but they needed to know the cause. It turned out to be the Amp and to contact Emotiva for suggestions since i should NOT be having this problem. At it's almost full power of 150w-160w, it was putting out distortion. Emotiva strongly recommend i upgrade to their bigger and better XPA series 275w-300w RMS Amp so i would have more headroom and "cleaner" power at high volumes (music) to no longer blow the tweeters. I was assured the extra power would not hurt these towers. Waiting on new Amp.. These are big, solid and heavy, your room should be too. I have a 9.2 setup with two 15" subs, my livingroom room is apx 15' by 24' not including an open kitchen and dining area with vaulted ceilings. Here is the most important part. If you intend to buy these and not have an issue with damage, i strongly suggest buying from Listen up via Prime. They double boxed them and arrived in perfect condition, even the outer boxes were both fine. I can't stress this enough after buying 75lb subs only to arrive like they were dropped off a roof and dragged buy hourse and carriage. The excitement and letdown is devastating. So, if you expect to set these up and be up and running the day they get delivered, Do NOT buy from a seller who does not double box. 5 stars to my seller Listen Up!

Great sounding speaker!
These speakers are great for music and can handle a wide dynamic range of sounds. I use them mostly for listening to music, but they are great for movie night also. These speakers are large and should not be considered if you have a tight space. The only negative comment I have is that the speakers were damaged each time they were delivered. Amazon was great with the return process, but I eventually had to pick up a pair locally.I purchased the RP-8000F II over a year ago to improve my front stage. After a decade of solid sound from my Pioneer VSX-1122k receiver, I moved up to a Dennon AVR-X4800h for the Dolby Atmos and other enhancements this receiver brings over my old Pioneer. Within minutes of connecting the new AVR to my old speakers it became evident that I must upgrade my front tower speakers. After researching and testing several speakers, I found this speaker to be my choice. The RP-8000F II sounded great out of the box. Since I was home alone for a week, I played my eclectic mix of soft rock, latin jazz, swing, funk and roots reggae for days and watched a few Marvel movies. By the third day there was a noticeable improvement in the sound and the speakers settled in. These speakers can handle a lot of bass and has well balanced mids and highs. After a week of breaking the speakers in, I calibrated the RP-8000F II with the rest of the speakers I had which include a pair of Klipsch SPL-150 subwoofers.

Powerful Sounds
I added these to my RP system as an upgrade, and now have the ultimate RP surround sound system. I am almost sorry to have arrived at that point as I have no more left to buy, but the enjoyment that comes when I listen to music or a book, or watch a movie certainly makes up for it. I am sure that one can spend more money on floor speakers, but I am certain that in order to discern any differences in the sound output that the listeners would have had spent fewer days around 5" 38 caliber naval rifles than I did.
