Absolute game changer - My favorite upgrade
Just amazing on climbs. Faster, easier & more control.Maybe less knee pain after rides but I need more time with it to say for sure.

Absolutely love it!
I have always wanted to try an oval chain and heard these are some of the best. I got used to the new chain ring really quickly, it's actually hard to notice it if you're not really paying attention to it. Hardest part was lining up the bashguard and chainguide, took a little work, but nothing too hard.

Love the cadence
It very well may be a placebo effect but I love the way oval chainrings feel and put down my best times with them. Had one on my old bike and waited two years before putting on my new bike as there was nothing wrong with my stock chainring. Didn’t realize how much I missed it and what a difference it makes. Will be my first mod on any new bike from here on.

Easy install, works
Not going to debate the science. I'm 63 and have been riding for two years. I am 235 lbs and have some health problems. Their are hills I just could never make it up no matter how much I prepared, which gears I selected, etc. Now, out of the five hills, I get up four of them without any difficult in a higher gear than before. The last one, I get up it now without having to walk it - so it works for me.

Takes getting used to at first but does make a difference!
If you have been riding a round chain ring for a while, this will feel weird at first. The cadence of your stroke will feel like something is wrong with the bike but after using this for a while, especially on the big technical climbs, you'll notice an advantage to the climb. The stroke give a bit more power to it and my legs felt less fatigued after hitting the big technical hills. Worth a try as it is a cheap upgrade and might make that little advantage in going longer and tougher trails. Still adjusting to it but I think its a keeper!

Quality Chainring
Okay, chainring. Performs just as well as any other chainring as for function. Don’t like that that black paint peels on the teeth. But, my black X01 cassette does the same thing.

Big improvement on climbs
I noticed the improvement right away on my first climb. The dead spot pedaling is gone and can climb in 1 to 2 gears higher.

Good upgrade
Only one trail ride so far but my initial impression is good. Went from 32t round to 30t oval on my eagle set up. My cadence felt natural and climbing felt improved. No awkwardness. I believe my legs feel fresher the day after as well.
