After reading a lot of negative reviews I'm not sure what people are expecting, but I'm one hundred percent satisfied with this light. I only ordered one to go over the door to my new workshop so I didn't have to risk mismatching fixtures. Installation was a snap as I had already run electrical wires and installed a wall switch. This light seems plenty sturdy to me. After installation I flipped the wall switch and the light came on. I flipped my switch and the light turned off. What more could I ask for. After I mounted the light I gripped it and hung from it and did a few pull ups. There wasn't a lot of room so I could only use one arm. This thing is sturdy! Of course I'm joking, but it's certainly solid. It's not a two hundred dollar fixture, but I feel this is a nice looking inexpensive light that will give years of service.Update:I wanted to add that I purchased an LED flood light for this fixture. The bulb I ordered is heavy duty with emphasis on the heavy. It literally weights about one and one third pounds. I knew my light fixture was solid, but I was still a little concerned how all this weight might affect it. No need to worry. The light holds the weight of that bulb just fine. After screwing in the bulb a gave the fixture a few downward tugs to see if it was struggling and if it wanted to bend or sag. Not at all. As I said before, this fixture is solid. If I need another, I'll be looking to buy this one.

This light is attractive. It is an exterior light... but did not come with a washer/ring to place between light base and the exterior wall to make a watertight seal (to keep rainwater from seeping behind base into wires)... you will need to get one. I have had this light up for 6 months, through the rain and winter... so far I am pleased.

I purchased 4 of these in total. 3 of the 4 installed quickly to replace existing sconces. 1 of the 4 required a universal adapter (old light didn’t have the proper mount) as the mount that came with the unit didn’t work for my particular situation. They are not flashy and accept nice longer vintage bulbs.

Purchased for an exterior garage. It's a really lovely light for the shop and seems to be holding up well in a salty environment.

We absolutely love these lights. Just be warned that in some cases they come in with a little gold line around parts of the design-look at the detail images on the listing. We ordered 5 and 3 out of five came with no gold and 2 came with it. I was able to call and get 2 replacements fairly easily once I explained what happened. They were easy to put together and install and we are very pleased with them.

Ok so we ordered these lights and LOVE them! Easy to install, beautiful! Everything I wanted! So I ordered 2 more just like them. I wait patiently and when they come, I Impatiently open them without my husband… And to my surprise they are two different lights… They’re in the same family the barn right however the style is completely different. And usps will pick up the two we don’t want...ups comes and only has 1 tracking label....so only 1 can go back out of the 2...(not impressed) we get the replacement order and what do I find in the box? The stupid same lights that I sent back...umm hello amazon not what I wanted! Well if you get what is pictured then these are great lights..if not have fun

Very nice lights easy to install. The assembly is a little bit of a pain. You have to pull the wires from the light through the gooseneck. I would recommend using another wire to help fish them through like I did.

Installed this on my shed, right above the door. Looks great, easy to install. Has survived east coast hurricanes with no problem.
